Our use of artificial intelligence

Effective 26 April 2026 — last updated 16 May 2026 · EU AI Act, Article 50

How we use AI

At Particulair, we use artificial intelligence as a creative support tool for drafting texts, developing ideas and supporting our professional communication. AI is used solely as an aid — not as a decision-maker.

All assessments, conclusions and ultimate responsibility for content and advisory services rest with our people. AI plays a role in the process, but a person is always the final author.

The legal basis — AI Act Article 50

On 13 June 2024, the European Parliament and the Council adopted Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence (the AI Act). Article 50 of the regulation governs transparency obligations for providers and deployers of certain AI systems, including the obligation to disclose AI-generated content.

Article 50 is structured around four principal obligations:

  • Article 50(1) — Providers of AI systems intended to interact directly with natural persons (such as chatbots) must design those systems so that the user is informed they are interacting with an AI system.
  • Article 50(2) — Providers of generative AI systems must ensure that output (text, image, audio, video) is marked in a machine-readable format that makes it possible to identify the content as artificially generated or manipulated.
  • Article 50(4) — Deployers must disclose when AI-generated content constitutes a deepfake, and when AI-generated text is published with the purpose of informing the public on matters of public interest.
  • Article 50(5) — Information must be provided in a clear and visible manner no later than at the time of first interaction or exposure.

What this means for Particulair

Particulair’s use of AI primarily covers the preparation of professional texts, product descriptions and articles about industrial hoses for critical environments. Such texts are not intended to inform the public on matters of public interest in the legal sense, and Particulair is therefore not necessarily formally bound by Article 50(4). We choose nevertheless to disclose our use of AI, because transparency is part of our professional credibility.

Article 50 entered into force together with the rest of the regulation on 1 August 2024, but the operational obligations under Article 50 only become fully enforceable from 2 August 2026. This statement therefore represents voluntary compliance ahead of the enforcement date.

In practice

Where AI has contributed to a text on the site, the person behind the text is regarded as the final author and as responsible for the correctness of the content. Technical specifications, ATEX markings, certificates and other factual product information are verified against supplier documentation and are not freely generated by AI. If you find errors or have questions about a specific text, you are welcome to contact us at sales@particulair.com.
