HSP1P Series
ATEX and IECEx certified sockets and plugs for gas and dust environments. Four current ratings. Up to 690V AC: 16A, 32A, 63A and 125A. IP66. Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22.
The 16A version covers installations with 3-, 4- and 5-pole connection and is the only one in the series to support 110–130V AC (3P only). The enclosure measures 335 × 90 × 159 mm and is made of BMC fibreglass.

The 32A version is suited for connecting heavy loads such as pumps, compressors and mobile process equipment in ATEX classified areas. The 2 × M40 cable entries accept cables up to 6.0 mm².

The 63A version is designed for connecting larger motors, heating systems and process equipment in Ex classified environments. Cables up to 16.0 mm² are connected via 2 × M50 cable entries. The enclosure measures 638 × 200 × 252 mm.

The 125A version is the most powerful in the series, designed for connecting heavy industrial installations in Ex classified gas and dust environments. Cables up to 50.0 mm² are connected via 2 × M63. The switch is mounted externally on the enclosure rather than on the rotary axis as in the other sizes. An auxiliary contact (OC) is available as an option.

The HSP1P is designed to minimise the risk of incorrect operation and to ensure operational reliability in demanding environments.
Sockets and plugs are colour coded in accordance with IEC 60309, allowing the voltage level to be identified at a glance. This significantly reduces the risk of incorrect connection.
An integrated mechanical interlock prevents the plug from being disconnected while the circuit is live. This eliminates the risk of arcing when disconnecting under load.
The earth connection is made before the phase contacts close and broken last. This ensures continuous protection against electric shock throughout the entire connection process.
The socket can be padlocked in the open position, preventing unauthorised re-energisation. Relevant for installations with lockout/tagout procedures.
The enclosure is made of BMC fibreglass (Bulk Moulding Compound). The material is antistatic, mechanically robust and corrosion resistant under prolonged exposure to chemicals and UV radiation.
About the product designation: This series is referred to on this page as HSP1P, which corresponds to the certificate name (TÜV CY 25 ATEX 0207475 X). In HARDO's catalogue and on order codes, the two components appear as HS1PW (socket/outlet) and HP1P (plug) respectively. Contact us for the correct order code for your specific requirements.
