Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between HEPA H14 and ULPA U15?

HEPA H14 retains at least 99.995% of particles at MPPS (0.1–0.3 μm) and is the standard for daily GMP cleaning in most pharma environments.

ULPA U15 retains at least 99.9995% — a factor of 10 better — and is used in clean rooms from ISO 5 and above, where even extremely low particle concentrations are critical. Autoclavable ULPA machines are typically required in sterile manufacturing areas.

What does an OEB 4–5 installation require for cleaning?

OEB 4 and 5 require closed systems where the operator is not exposed to the collected material. This means BIBO filtration (Bag-In Bag-Out) so the filter can be changed without exposure, and WIP compatibility (Wash In Place) so the machine can be cleaned on-site.

Material must typically be AISI 316L stainless steel with polished internal surfaces. Contact us with your specific OEL value and we will help specify the right equipment.

Can you supply ATEX-certified machines for Zone 20?

Yes. We supply third-party certified ATEX machines for Zone 20 (category 1D), Zone 21 (category 2D) and Zone 22 (category 3D) per directive 2014/34/EU.

Zone 20 is the strictest classification — dust cloud is continuously present — and requires category 1D equipment. Contact us with your zone classification and we will identify the relevant models.

Do you deliver throughout Scandinavia and the EU?

Yes. Scandinavia is our primary market, but we deliver to customers throughout the EU. Contact us for information about delivery time and freight to your country.

Can we obtain technical documentation and certificates?

Yes. We supply all available technical documentation, including ATEX certificates, EU declarations of conformity, filter certificates (EN 1822) and material data sheets. The documentation can be used directly in your internal approval process.
