Responsibility for ATEX suitability: Test results apply to the sample tested. It is the customer's and system manufacturer's responsibility to verify that the nozzle's documented properties are sufficient for the specific ATEX-classified installation in accordance with directive 94/9/EC.

Certifications and ATEX suitability

ISO 1853:2011 – Volume resistivity
Certified by CERISIE (accredited Italian laboratory) to 1.1 Ω·m. Test report RP n.248/2023.
ESD – Electrostatic dissipation
Electric resistance 5–50 kΩ ensures correct equipotential bonding in Zone 21 and Zone 22 installations.
ATEX 2014/34/EU – Suitable for explosive atmospheres
The ATEX directive certifies the complete system — not the individual components. The nozzle's role is to provide documented antistatic properties that the system manufacturer incorporates into their overall ATEX certification. MM019NN delivers this with a verified volume resistivity of 1.1 Ω·m (ISO 1853:2011), ensuring equipotential bonding and preventing spark formation.

Recommended applications

Extraction of combustible dusts: grain, starch, sugar, wood dust, coal, light metals
ATEX Zone 21 and Zone 22 – explosive atmosphere with dust
Flour mills, woodworking, grain silos, chemical industry
Environments requiring ESD control and equipotential bonding
FOOD / PHARMA – Silicone

Wacker CHEMIE R 4001 80 – FDA-compatible silicone

Transparent silicone manufactured with Wacker Chemie polymers. Documented compliance with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and BfR Recommendation XV "SiliKone". Autoclavable at +200°C and suitable for GMP cleanrooms and pharmaceutical production lines.

Certifications and ATEX suitability

FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 (USA)
Polymers and ingredients approved for food contact. Compliance documented by Wacker Chemie in material declaration.
BfR Recommendation XV "SiliKone" (DE)
Complies with the German Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung's recommendation XV for silicones in food contact.
GMP-suitable – autoclavable at +200°C
Can be autoclaved, making the material suitable for GMP cleanrooms and pharmaceutical production lines.

Recommended applications

Food production with direct or indirect food contact
Pharmaceutical production and GMP-regulated cleanrooms
Process lines where autoclaving of equipment is required
Laboratories and chemical industry with high hygiene requirements
FOOD / PHARMA – Colour Line

FDA NBR – Colour Line (coloured food-grade rubber)

Coloured NBR rubber (NDA compound) for colour-coded hygiene systems in the food industry. Ingredients are listed on the FDA positive list — Title 21 CFR Part 177.2600. Available in blue, red, yellow, green and white — all colours can be supplied.

Colour coding

Colour Line is designed for colour-coded cleaning systems that prevent cross-contamination between production zones.

Blue: General food production, standard hygiene zone
Red: Allergen zones, raw materials or dedicated process lines
Yellow: Alternative zone identification or product coding
Green: Alternative zone identification or product coding
White: Cleanrooms, pharmaceutical production or special hygiene requirements

PBT bristles – light blue (EU 1935/2004)

Bristles in Colour Line products are made from light blue PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate), declared suitable for food contact in accordance with EU directive 1935/2004 with documented migration tests.

– indicates that the property is not relevant for the material in question. BfR Recommendation XV "SiliKone" is specific to silicone materials and is not a relevant standard for NBR rubber. The ATEX directive certifies the complete system — not individual components. FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and autoclavability are not relevant requirements for antistatic NBR designed for explosive atmospheres.
