Cookie Policy for CVS

Effective from 18 May 2026 — last updated 18 May 2026

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember your preferences, analyse traffic patterns and improve the user experience.

Consent model

The first time you visit the site you are presented with a cookie banner with four categories:

  • Necessary — always active; required for basic site functionality.
  • Preferences — can be turned on/off; remembers your choices.
  • Statistics — can be turned on/off; Google Analytics 4.
  • Marketing — can be turned on/off; Google Ads conversion measurement.

You can choose between three actions: Accept all, Reject all or Customise (which gives you control over each category). Your consent is stored in a first-party cookie particulair-consent (base64-encoded JSON, 12 months, SameSite=Lax, Secure on HTTPS).

You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer — this reopens the banner with your current choices.

Google Consent Mode v2

We use Google Consent Mode v2 together with Google Tag Manager (GTM, container GTM-K5GG8ZDF) as the sole dispatcher for all tracking scripts. This means Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads only receive data in accordance with your consent. Before you give consent, GTM only sends anonymous cookieless pings to Google that contain no personally identifiable information.

The default state is denied for all non-necessary signals. This is declared inline in <head> on every page before GTM loads, ensuring consent status is known for every call.

Cookie overview

1. Necessary (no consent required)

These cookies are required for the site to function. Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in the site functioning).

2. Preferences (consent required)

Preference cookies remember your choices such as language or display settings. On CVS pre-launch no preference cookies are set yet — the category is reserved for future use. Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(a) (consent), cf. Danish Cookie Order § 3.

3. Statistics (consent required)

These cookies are set by Google Analytics 4 via GTM and help us understand how visitors use the site. Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(a) (consent), cf. Danish Cookie Order § 3. Use of GA4 may involve transfer of data to Google servers in the US — see the international transfers section in our privacy policy.

4. Marketing (consent required)

This list is not an exhaustive guarantee. Google may add supplementary cookies as part of their own service. You always have control via your category selection.

Third-party chat (CVS pre-launch: not enabled)

The CVS microsite has no third-party chat widget at pre-launch time. If one is added later (e.g. Weply, used on other Particulair microsites), the list above will be updated with the relevant cookies, and the chat widget will be gated behind marketing consent.

Legal basis

Our processing of cookies is based on consent under European Parliament and Council Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive) as implemented in Danish law via Order No. 1148 of 9 December 2011 (the Cookie Order), and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Article 6(1)(a).
