CONNECT 202

CONNECT 202 is a bayonet lock construction in stainless steel (INOX) developed for metal hoses in the 375, 376 and 377 series (plus HT and REINFORCED variants). The bayonet construction with L-slot allows the coupling to be opened and closed with a quick quarter-turn - significantly faster than screw or thread couplings. The one-sided expansion simplifies insertion of the metal hose in the coupling part. 13 dimensions from ID 50 mm to 300 mm cover the full metal hose range. Typically used in installations where metal hoses periodically must be detached for renovation or replacement - e.g. in chemical industry, marine applications and high-temperature transport.

Frequently asked questions

What is a bayonet lock?

A bayonet lock is a mechanical connection where two parts join via a quarter turn. Pins on one part slide into L-shaped slots on the other part; a quarter turn locks them mechanically. The bayonet construction is faster than thread couplings and requires no tools. CONNECT 202 has a bayonet lock with L-slot - a variation where the pin slides in, then turns a quarter, and the lock is secure.

Which metal hoses fit?

CONNECT 202 is specifically qualified for METAL HOSE 375 (PUR-coated agraff construction), 375 HT (high-temperature), 376 INOX (stainless steel) and 377 REINFORCED (aluminium construction). The bayonet lock's L-slot is dimensioned to these hoses' outer profile - other metal hoses require cross-checking before ordering.

Difference between CONNECT 202 and CONNECT 203-204?

Both are stainless INOX couplings for metal hoses. CONNECT 202 has a bayonet lock that locks via quarter turn. CONNECT 203-204 has cylindrical or slotted-cylindrical adapter without bayonet mechanics - typically a fixed-installation solution where disassembly is not regular. CONNECT 206 has quick-release flange construction for fast change without thread.

Sold individually?

Yes. Each dimension has its own article number. The bayonet lock's two halves are sold as a complete set per dimension. For pre-assembled hose sets with CONNECT 202 on both ends, contact us.
