EVA stands for Ethylene-Vinyl-Acetate - a thermoplastic copolymer that combines flexibility with good chemical resistance. Difference between CONNECT 227 and CONNECT 226?
CONNECT 226 is developed for SUPERFLEX 372 (PVC-based hose) and supplied in black. CONNECT 227 is developed for the EVA 373 series and supplied in grey. The two sleeve types have the same base construction but are optimised for different hose materials and their specific wall thickness and rib profile.
We have EVA 373 EC in ATEX - can I use CONNECT 227?
CONNECT 227 is qualified for the EVA 373 EC variant which has conductive construction. Note however that the sleeve itself is not specifically EC-marked. For critical ATEX installations where earth continuity across coupling intermediates is critical, we recommend CLAMP 212 EC for mechanical attachment + ohm-test after installation to confirm earth connection.
