CONNECT 241 AS Moulded
CONNECT 241 AS Moulded is an antistatic moulded soft slide-on sleeve - a hybrid solution combining the benefits of anti-static (AS property <10E9 ohms) with the factory-mounted pre-fitted moulded construction. The sleeve is gas-and-liquid-tight pre-fitted from factory, with documented joint integrity, and simultaneously electrically dissipative so static discharge from the conveyed medium is conducted away. The high abrasion-, chemical-, microbe- and hydrolysis-resistance makes it ideal for industrial vacuum cleaners and municipal vehicles where the sleeve is exposed to abrasive dust AND where anti-static protection is required. 6 dimensions ID 38 to 75 mm. Temperature range -40 to +90 deg C with peak +125 deg C.

Difference from CONNECT 246 AS?
Both are anti-static couplings with <10E9 ohms. CONNECT 246 AS is a separate sleeve that is mounted on-site (screw-on). CONNECT 241 AS Moulded is pre-fitted and pressed-mounted from factory - an integrated unit with documented joint integrity. Choose the moulded version for pharma/process applications where process validation requires a factory-delivered unit; CONNECT 246 AS for standard industry where on-site mounting is preferred.
Difference from CONNECT 240 EC?
CONNECT 240 EC has higher electrical conductivity (<10E3 ohms) - classified as EC (Electrically Conductive). CONNECT 241 AS Moulded has AS level (<10E9 ohms) - classified as static-dissipative. EC is required in ATEX zone 0/20 (continuous explosion risk); AS is sufficient in zone 21/22. Choose EC for critical ATEX installations; AS for industrial vacuum cleaner and municipal vehicle applications where moulded construction + AS combination is optimal.
Can a moulded unit be disassembled?
No - a moulded unit is permanent. If you change the hose, you change the full unit including sleeve. For installations where periodic disassembly is critical, choose CONNECT 246 AS (screw-on) or CLAMP 212 EC + standard sleeve - both allow repeated disassembly/reassembly cycles instead.

As a moulded unit, CONNECT 241 AS Moulded is always ordered together with a specific hose and hose length. Send us your specification: hose type (AIRDUC AS variant), hose length, coupling configuration on each end. We assemble at the factory and deliver a complete unit ready for installation.
