CONNECT 241 FOOD FOR 356

CONNECT 241 FOOD FOR 356 is a food-grade sleeve specifically developed for the AIRDUC PUR 356 series' wall thickness profile. AIRDUC 356 is the HD/XHD variant of the series (extra heavy-duty) with thicker wall than the 350/351/355 versions, and the standard CONNECT 241 FOOD therefore does not fit optimally. This FOR 356 version has an adapted inner profile that ensures correct sealing on the 356 series' specific outer spiral. The wall meets the same food-grade compliance: EU 10/2011, EC 1935/2004 and EU 2015/174. 4 dimensions ID 40, 60, 75 and 80 mm cover AIRDUC 356-FOOD-XHD and 356-FOOD-reinforced-XXHD's most used dimensions.

Why should I use this over CONNECT 241 FOOD?

The AIRDUC PUR 356 series is an XHD variant (extra heavy-duty) with thicker wall than standard AIRDUC. Standard CONNECT 241 FOOD's internal profile is dimensioned for the 350/351/355 series' wall thickness, and mounting on 356 will either not seal optimally or create local mechanical stress. CONNECT 241 FOOD FOR 356 has an internal profile adapted to 356's specific wall thickness - the result is correct sealing and no mechanical overload.

Which specific 356 variants fit?

CONNECT 241 FOOD FOR 356 is qualified for AIRDUC PUR 356 FOOD XHD (base food-XHD) and AIRDUC PUR 356 FOOD reinforced XXHD (extra-extra-heavy-duty with increased reinforcement). It also fits the AIRDUC PUR-INOX 356 FOOD-AS XHD variant which has the same XHD wall thickness + AS (anti-static).

What about 356-EC or 356-AS?

AIRDUC 356-EC and 356-AS variants have the same XHD wall thickness as 356-FOOD-XHD, but are not food-grade. For ATEX/ESD installations on these we recommend CONNECT 240 EC. If both ATEX AND food-grade are required: contact us, The manufacturer has special EC+FOOD variants for the combination.
