CONNECT 241 FOOD is a food-grade soft sleeve that covers larger dimensions than CONNECT 240 + 241 FOOD. Where the 240+241 version covers ID 38-70 mm, CONNECT 241 FOOD covers ID 32 mm to 300 mm in 9 dimensions - thus covering the AIRDUC catalogue's full process range, including the larger 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 mm dimensions. The wall meets the same food-grade compliance: EU 10/2011, EC 1935/2004 and EU 2015/174. The temperature range -40 to +90 deg C with peak +125 deg C allows warm cleaning cycles. Typically used on larger process installations in food, pharma and brewery industry.

When 240 + 241 FOOD covers ID 38-70, why also 241 FOOD?
The difference is primarily dimension range. The 240 + 241 FOOD version is optimised for the most common mid-size process dimensions (38-70 mm). 241 FOOD covers wider - from 32 mm up to 300 mm - and is developed for larger process installations where large-volume transport is needed. Both have the same food-grade compliance and chemical resistance.
Which hoses?
CONNECT 241 FOOD fits the full AIRDUC FOOD catalogue, including the XHD versions (356 FOOD XHD, 356 FOOD reinforced XXHD). It also covers the BARDUC FOOD series (382, 381) and PUR-INOX-FOOD-AS variants. For smaller dimensions (under 32 mm) we recommend CONNECT 240 + 241 FOOD. For the largest 250-300 mm dimensions, CONNECT 241 FOOD is the preferred solution.
Is it heavy?
Weight scales with dimension: 80 g (32 mm) up to 2.7 kg (300 mm). For the very largest dimensions, mounting must be planned - the 250-300 mm sleeve potentially requires a stand or hoist fixture for secure mounting on large process tanks. Contact us if the mounting solution requires advice.
What if I have the 356 XHD hose?
For the AIRDUC PUR 356 series (base XHD or FOOD XHD) we specifically recommend CONNECT 241 FOOD FOR 356 (separate factsheet) which has a specific wall-thickness profile adapted to the 356 series' heavier construction. For other AIRDUC FOOD variants, CONNECT 241 FOOD is the correct solution.
