CONNECT 244

CONNECT 244 is a 2-part loose flange developed to connect the AIRDUC 356 series (base, FOOD, INOX FOOD-AS, EC, AS) to standardised flange installations per DIN 2632/2633 - the European standards for steel pipe system flanges. The construction is a combination of polypropylene (PP) loose flange with steel insert + a thread-mountable construction - a hybrid combining steel strength with PP's corrosion resistance. High abrasion, chemical and microbe resistance. 8 dimensions ID 50 to 300 mm with standardised bolt-hole configurations (4x18 to 12x22 bolt holes, 125-400 mm bolt circle).

Frequently asked questions

What is DIN 2632/2633?

DIN 2632 and DIN 2633 are the European standards for steel pipe system flanges. They specify flange geometry, dimensions, bolt hole configurations (number and diameter) and bolt circle diameter for different nominal pipe diameters. The standards are compatible with ISO 7005-1 and accepted throughout the EU and widely internationally. When CONNECT 244's flange surface matches these standards, it can connect directly to standardised steel pipe systems without custom solutions.

Why specifically for the 356 series?

The AIRDUC 356 series are XHD variants (extra heavy-duty) with thicker wall and larger OD. CONNECT 244's internal profile is dimensioned for 356's specific geometry. For other AIRDUC variants, we recommend CONNECT 243 (flanged pipe) or other coupling solutions instead.

What's the difference from CONNECT 243?

CONNECT 243 is a FULL flanged pipe - a complete pipe section with flange. CONNECT 244 is a LOOSE flange - just the flange, mounted on existing hose end. Choose CONNECT 244 if retrofitting existing AIRDUC 356 hose to DIN 2632/2633 system; choose CONNECT 243 if you need the full pipe section.

Is the flange heavy?

Yes, weight scales with dimension: 1.1 kg (50 mm) up to 12.5 kg (300 mm). When mounting the larger dimensions, a hoist fixture or stand should be considered - the 250-300 mm flange is particularly heavy and requires safe installation procedure.
