CONNECT STORZ DIN ALU 251

CONNECT STORZ DIN ALU 251 is a Storz system adapter with female thread, manufactured from aluminium with NBR seal. The Storz coupling's core idea is that two halves are clamped together via a quarter turn of a lever (the lock is fast and tool-free) - a construction originally developed for fire brigade hoses and later spread to industrial installations where fast coupling and uncoupling are critical. The adapter variant has internal G-thread (BSPP / British Standard Pipe Parallel) allowing mounting on standard pipe system stutsen. Working pressure 16 bar. Offered in 16 variants with different lug distances (31, 52, 66, 81, 89, 115 mm matching Storz standard sizes D, B, C) and different inch threads from 3/4 to 4 inches. Main material: forged aluminium lug part.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Storz coupling?

The Storz coupling is a historically important coupling system developed in Germany (originally by Carl August Guido Storz in 1882) for fire brigade hoses. The construction has two identical halves with metallic lugs that interlock with each other via a quarter turn. This provides a sealed connection + lock in a single manual action - fast, tool-free and extremely reliable. Today Storz is used broadly in industrial applications where fast coupling/uncoupling is critical: fire brigade fighting, industrial water transport, temporary pipe connections in construction sites.

What do D / B / C / 115 mm mean?

D, B, C are the Storz standard's category designations for different sizes. D is the smallest (31 mm lug distance), used typically for 3/4-1 inch pipe connection. B is mid-size (52-66 mm). C is larger (66-89 mm). 115 mm is the largest for 4 inch pipe connection. producentens adapter catalogue covers all 4 main categories in 16 specific variant combinations.

For which applications?

CONNECT STORZ 251 is typically used where a fast coupling must be established between a standardised pipe end and either a new hose end or another Storz attachment. Examples: fire brigade fighting, industrial water transport, temporary pipe connections, construction site water distribution. It is NOT specifically developed for our AIRDUC hose catalogue but can in specific applications be integrated with pipe systems serving hose installations.

Is the adapter sold individually?

Yes. Each Storz size + thread combination has its own article number (all start with 5111). producentens Storz catalogue has 16 standard variants for the most used D/B/C/115 mm + inch thread combinations. For specific variant combinations not in this table, contact us.
