Klau-laasekapper (blank cap)
Claw coupling blank caps are developed to close an open claw coupling temporarily - e.g. during transport, storage or between use phases. The construction is a simple solid coupling half engaging into a standard claw coupling and locking via quarter turn. The material is malleable cast iron per DIN 3489 with NBR seal. Lug distance 42 mm matches the standard claw coupling system. Typically used in compressor installations, compressed air tools and pneumatic equipment where an open coupling must be closed to prevent pressure loss or system contamination.

Frequently asked questions
When is blank cap used?
Blank cap is used to close an open claw coupling temporarily - e.g. during installation transport, between use phases, or when parts of the system are disconnected for maintenance. Caps prevent pressure loss and contamination of coupling surfaces.
For which couplings?
DIN 3489 standard claw coupling system (lug distance 42 mm). This is the same standard as our klauenkupplung (SKU 5212).
Sold individually?
Yes, each cap is a separate unit. For complete securing of an installation system, multiple caps can be ordered together.
