Frequently asked questions
What is Viton/FKM?
Viton is DuPont's trademark for FKM (Fluoroelastomer) - a high-performance seal withstanding +200 deg C and broad chemical exposure including oils, acids and solvents. It's the preferred solution in high-pressure tank truck applications.
Difference from NBR?
NBR (5032 O-ring) typically withstands up to 100-120 deg C and is limited in chemical resistance. Viton (5036) withstands 200+ deg C and broader chemicals - but is more expensive. Choose by application.
