Why this hose?
TIMBERDUC® PUR 534 AS has a 1.5 mm thick, permanently antistatic Pre-PUR® wall and a spring steel spiral. The transparent wall with partial silver colouring makes it easy to see what is flowing through the hose.
The manufacturer states a normal temperature range from −40 to +90°C and short-term up to +125°C.
The hose is one part of a system. The antistatic property only works when the whole system is correctly grounded.
Where it is used
The hose is used for conveying gas, dust and solids, for example extraction of dust and chips.
The formal name is TIMBERDUC® PUR 534 AS.

Fields without a value (em-dash) are not specified in the manufacturer's factsheet. Overpressure and underpressure values are recommended operating limits; the product can be subjected to higher loads on request. Bend radius is measured along the inside of the hose bend.
Standards and compliance
The manufacturer documents the following:
- Permanently antistatic wall. Electrical and surface resistance below 10⁹ Ω according to ISO 8031 (below 2.5·10⁸ Ω·m according to TRGS 727, 10⁸–10⁹ Ω according to NFPA 652).
- REACH (EC 1907/2006) and RoHS 2011/65/EU. The manufacturer holds declarations of compliance.
A hose is not itself ATEX certified. It must always be grounded, and whether it suits a zone is decided in your own zone assessment.

Frequently asked questions
Why is there only one size?
The manufacturer lists TIMBERDUC® PUR 534 AS in inner Ø 101.5 mm. If you need another diameter, we will find an alternative in the TIMBERDUC family.
Can the hose be used in explosion hazard areas?
The manufacturer states a permanently antistatic wall according to ISO 8031 below 10⁹ Ω. A hose is not itself ATEX certified. It must always be grounded, and whether it suits a given zone is decided in your own zone assessment.
