Custom-assembled hose configurations

Custom-made hoses

Hoses cut to length, assembled with couplings and accessories matched to the process, and delivered with documentation that travels with the hose throughout its lifetime.

A standard hose solves a standard problem. In critical environments — pharmaceutical production, ATEX installations, food CIP — the process is rarely standard. The hose must be cut to length, assembled with specific couplings and sleeves, and delivered as one finished product with documentation that travels with it.

Custom assembly is at the core of what Particulair does. We take responsibility for the entire assembly: the hose, the couplings, the thread standard, the material choice in gaskets and sleeves, and the documentation trail that makes the assembly traceable back to manufacturer and batch.

This page describes the process, the DB Lab partnership for ready-to-use Life Science installations, and how QR-marking makes reordering simple — including when the operations team has been replaced since the original delivery.

How custom assembly works

Custom work is not a magical process. It is four steps that each require precision and documentation, and which together ensure that the hose you install today can be reordered identically five years from now.

1

Specification

We walk through your process — medium, temperature, pressure, ATEX/zone classification, compliance requirements. You receive a concrete materials list and drawing, not a generic recommendation.

2

Material choice

Hose, couplings, sleeves, threads, hose clamps are selected from manufacturers whose documentation can be linked to the assembly. Every component has an SKU trail.

3

Assembly

The hose is cut to length. Couplings are torqued correctly. Electrical contact is verified for ATEX use. GMP-conformant packaging where relevant.

4

Documentation

4-page PDF datasheet with project ID, materials list, SKU numbers and QR code for reordering. The hose is physically marked with the same QR code so traceability follows the product through its full lifetime.

Examples of custom-made hoses

Three examples of concrete custom assemblies from our production. Each with documented material selection, cut to length and couplings chosen for the specific process.

Cut to length. We cut the hose to the exact length you need — down to the millimetre. Short or long, straight or with specific spacing between coupling points.

The DB Lab partnership — ready-to-use for Life Science

For Life Science facilities we offer a complete ready-to-use solution. Together we identify the correct hose for the task. You specify hose length and the coupling type to be fitted at each end. We manufacture the hose and ship it to DB Lab in Odense, where the hose is sterilised, swab-sampled, validated, packed in sterile packaging, and finally shipped to you as a ready-to-use unit.

QR-marking and reordering

Every custom hose is physically marked with a QR code that points to a customer-facing page with assembly data. The code is also reproduced in the datasheet PDF and can be stuck directly on the hose, on a control cabinet or on an SOP folder.

That makes reordering simple: scan the code or send us the project ID. We have material data on file and can reproduce the assembly identically — same hose, same couplings, same materials, same thread standards. That is the point where traceability becomes more than a certificate; it becomes a working tool.

Questions we are asked often

What is a custom-assembled hose?

A hose cut to length and assembled with specific couplings, sleeves, threads and accessories matched to your process. It is delivered ready to install — instead of a standard hose you have to modify yourself. Each assembly receives a unique project ID and full material documentation.

What is the DB Lab partnership?

DB Lab is Particulair's partner for Life Science installations. We manufacture the hose to your specifications (length, coupling type). The hose is shipped to DB Lab in Odense, where it is sterilised, swab-tested, validated and packed in sterile packaging, then delivered directly to you as a ready-to-use unit. See dblab.dk for details.

Do I receive documentation with the hose?

Yes, every custom hose is delivered with a 4-page PDF datasheet: cover with project ID and production date, hose specifications, materials used (hose, couplings, sleeves, accessories with supplier SKU), and a reordering block with QR code. The PDF can be linked to CIP validation, GMP audit or your internal documentation system.

How do I reorder a custom hose?

Each custom hose has a QR code printed on the hose itself and reproduced in the datasheet PDF. Scan the code or contact us with the project ID — we have all material data on file and can reproduce the assembly identically. The point is that the hose can be reordered exactly, even if the operations team has changed since the original delivery.

How long does a custom delivery take?

Depends on complexity and stock. A standard configuration (off-the-shelf hose plus couplings from stock) is typically delivered in 1-2 weeks. Custom materials or GMP-conformant Life Science assembly takes 3-6 weeks. We give a concrete time estimate after first contact — no surprises along the way.
