Floor wands connect your vacuum system to the floor tool. They are double-bent so the operator can stand upright during use, and they come in two fundamentally different versions depending on the connection type of your floor tool: wands with an integrated quick-fit coupling, and wands without a coupling where the wand is pushed directly into the tool's socket. Both types are available in multiple materials and diameters.
Wands with quick-fit coupling

Important – connection type: These wands have an integrated quick-fit coupling stud in the upper end that clicks into the tool’s coupling housing. They are compatible with floor tools featuring a fixed steel connector or quick-fit housing – including SIMPLICITY, PROMETHEUS and ICEBERG (steel connector version) and DISCOVERY (standard version). They are not compatible with floor tools fitted with a swivel connector, as the coupling on those models is built into the tool head itself.

Wands without coupling – for swivel floor tools

Important – connection type: These wands have no integrated coupling. The wand is pushed directly into the swivel connector on the floor tool, which contains the mechanical connection mechanism. They are compatible with PROMETHEUS, ICEBERG and DISCOVERY in swivel version (R-series). They are not compatible with floor tools fitted with a fixed steel connector or quick-fit housing, as those require wands with coupling.

The aluminium, chrome steel and stainless steel (AISI 304) lines are all antistatic, making them suitable for use in environments requiring potential equalisation, including ATEX-classified areas. It is always the user’s responsibility to verify suitability for the specific ATEX zone and installation.
The 2-piece version is practical when storage or transport is a challenge, as the wand can be separated into two parts. It reassembles quickly without tools. The 1-piece version is slightly more robust and straightforward for daily use. Both versions deliver the same function and performance.
The diameter must match the pipe connection on your floor tool and the tube dimension of your vacuum system. The most common sizes are Ø38, Ø40 and Ø50 mm. Certain floor tools can be used with Ø38 via a wand adapter (CCR38S). Contact us if you are unsure about the correct dimension for your system.
The wands are made from chrome, aluminium or stainless steel and contain no rubber parts or polymer linings, so there is no FDA documentation for the wands themselves. In food and pharmaceutical environments they are typically paired with an FDA-compliant floor tool (White line / silicone variant). Stainless steel (AISI 304) is the recommended material in these environments due to its durability and cleanability. Contact us for advice.
Certain floor tools – including PROMETHEUS/ICEBERG Steel Connector and DISCOVERY/SPIRIT 300 – can be used with a Ø38 mm system by connecting the wand adapter CCR38S. This is a 2-piece chrome wand at Ø38 with an integrated quick-fit coupling, enabling floor tools designed for Ø40 or Ø50 to be used on a Ø38 mm vacuum system.
