Aseptic stainless-steel fitting – hygienic connection for process systems
The NORRES CONNECT ASEPTIC FITTING 249 is a precision-engineered stainless-steel (AISI 316L) fitting for use in food, dairy, and pharmaceutical process installations. Designed according to DIN 11864-1 and DIN 11864-3 standards, it provides a gas- and liquid-tight connection between flexible hoses and fixed process lines. The fitting is available as clamp adapter, screw/flange adapter, and clamp liner versions to suit different aseptic requirements.
Properties and design
- Made of stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L), stamped design.
- Available as clamp adapter, screw/flange adapter, and clamp liner.
- Complies with RoHS directive and REACH regulation.
- Temperature range −40 °C to +90 °C.
- Gas- and liquid-tight when supplied as pre-fitted version.
Applications
Ideal for hygienic and aseptic process systems in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical production, where clean and sterile connections are essential. Typical applications include vacuum conveying, dosing systems, tablet presses, and process equipment in cleanroom environments.
Technical note
DIN 11864-1 and DIN 11864-3 are aseptic connection standards used in sterile environments where contamination must be avoided. When combined with antistatic or stainless-steel hoses, the CONNECT 249 can be used in ATEX-classified areas where electrical continuity and equipotential bonding are required. All components are designed with minimal dead space for optimal cleaning (CIP/SIP).
Recommended accessories
- CONNECT 231 / 232 / 233 – complete clamp and press assemblies for hygienic systems.
- CONNECT 228 – adapters and transition pieces for AIRDUC® / PROTAPE® series.
