NORRES CONNECT KAMLOK ALU 253
Aluminium camlock coupling – quick connection for silos and tank systems
The NORRES CONNECT KAMLOK ALU 253 is a lightweight and durable aluminium coupling designed for reliable hose connections during filling and emptying of silos, tanks, and tank trucks. It ensures fast, tight, and tool-free coupling for the transfer of dry bulk materials or liquids.
Properties and design
- Made of aluminium – low weight and good corrosion resistance.
- Fluted hose tail for secure fitting with band clamp (e.g. CLAMP 211).
- Quick camlock system according to standard Type C (female) and Type E (male).
- Replaceable black NBR sealing ring available as spare part.
- Not suitable for explosive fluids (group 1) and not covered by the Pressure Equipment Directive.
- REACH compliant – see manufacturer’s technical information.
Applications
Ideal for industrial and transport systems requiring frequent connection and disconnection, such as silo conveying, pneumatic transport, and tanker loading or discharge. Compatible with CONNECT 229 clamp assemblies and NORRES hoses with smooth outer wall.
Technical note
The camlock system is widely used in conveying and process industries where quick and safe hose coupling is essential. Aluminium offers a lightweight and cost-efficient solution for non-corrosive media such as air, powders, granulates, and neutral liquids. In ATEX installations, electrical conductivity and potential equalisation must always be verified separately.
Recommended accessories
- CLAMP 211 – band clamp for hoses with smooth outer wall.
- CONNECT 229 – coupling assembly for AIRDUC® and PROTAPE® hoses.
