Food-grade flange connection for NORRES hoses – hygienic, gas- and liquid-tight

The NORRES CONNECT 244 FOOD is a two-part loose flange connection designed for safe, hygienic installation of food and pharmaceutical hoses. Suitable for both liquid and vacuum transfer, it provides a tight, reusable and robust connection. The pre-fitted version ensures maximum sealing, while the threaded version allows repeated assembly and disassembly without loss of tightness.

Applications

CONNECT 244 FOOD is used in the food and pharmaceutical industries for vacuum conveying systems, dosing and filling lines, vacuum hoppers, suction conveyors, and tablet or pellet presses.

Properties and construction

• Easy and quick installation – available as pre-fitted or threaded version.

Materials

• Loose flange: polypropylene (PP) coated steel core.
• Wall: special ether-based polyurethane (Pre-PUR®), food-grade.

Technical note

In food and pharmaceutical installations, hygienic design and material traceability are essential for compliance with EU 1935/2004 and GMP. CONNECT 244 FOOD combines a chemically resistant PUR wall with a corrosion-protected flange that can be mounted without lubricants and without risk of material migration. For ATEX installations, use antistatic hoses such as AIRDUC® PUR-INOX 351 FOOD-AS or AIRDUC® PUR-INOX 355 FOOD-AS.
