Tiger-Vac EXP1-10 (4W) RE HEPA (MRAC) 2GD
Explosion proof vacuum cleaner for conductive dust and non-flammable liquids in Zone 1/21
The Tiger-Vac EXP1-10 (4W) RE HEPA (MRAC) 2GD is an ATEX-certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible or conductive dusts and non-flammable liquids in Zone 1/21 areas. Built entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel, it features HEPA filtration and an intermediate activated-carbon stage (MRAC) for the adsorption of toxic or noxious vapours. Its legally EX-certified construction (II 2GD) makes it ideal for cleaning and decontamination in hazardous environments.
- Zone classification: II 2GD Ex d IIA T3 Gb / Ex t IIIC T200°C Db IP6X.
- Motor: TEFC single-phase 230 V / 50 Hz – 1 kW (4.5 A).
- Filter: HEPA H14 (99.995 % at 0.3 µm) tested per EN 1822 and IEST-RP-CC001.
- Capacity: 22.7 L dry / 28.5 L liquid – AISI 304 stainless-steel tank.
- Middle Ring with Activated Carbon (MRAC) for vapour adsorption.
- Complete ESD-safe tool kit included – hose, wands and nozzles.
Technical design
The EXP1-10 (4W) RE HEPA (MRAC) 2GD uses a three-stage filtration system: pre-filter, main SD filter (antistatic cloth) and final HEPA H14 filter (6 500 cm²). Airflow is 224 m³/h with a vacuum pressure of 1 550 mm H₂O. The 4-wheel dolly is ESD-conductive (< 10 Ω) and built from AISI 304 for safe discharge of static electricity. Each unit is aerosol leak tested before shipping to ensure HEPA integrity and ATEX compliance.
Safety and certification
- ATEX marking: II 2GD Ex d IIA T3 Gb / Ex t IIIC T200°C Db IP6X (LCIE 03 ATEX 6297).
- Temperature range: –5 °C to +37 °C – IP6X protection, Zone 1/21 equipment.
- Complies with EN 17348 (DT/LC), EN 1822 and IEC 60335-2-69 (Annex AA – ACD).
- All components are ESD-safe and tested for resistance below 10 Ω.
Technical note
In ATEX Zone 1/21 applications, static electricity control and proper grounding (< 10 Ω) are essential. The EXP1-10 (4W) RE HEPA (MRAC) 2GD is designed and verified under EN 17348 for safe dust and liquid recovery in explosive atmospheres. The activated-carbon MRAC stage adds protection by adsorbing toxic or corrosive vapours from solvents, metal fumes or gunpowder residues.
