Delfin MTL 3533 1/2D

ATEX Zone 21 vacuum cleaner for pharmaceutical and biotech production

The Delfin MTL 3533 1/2D is a powerful three-phase industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe collection of combustible or conductive dust in Zone 21 areas. Its stainless steel tank, antistatic filters and integrated H14 final filtration make it ideal for pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory and food production environments where both hygiene and explosion safety are essential.

  • Zone classification: II 1/2D Ex h IIIC T160°C Da/Db.
  • Motor: Three-phase 400 V – 4 kW side channel blower (IP65).
  • Filters: Antistatic polyester class M + HEPA H14 99.995% (EN 1822-5, MPPS method).
  • Capacity: 45 L AISI 304 stainless steel tank with manual filter cleaning.
  • Compliant with EN 17348 and EN IEC 62784:2018 for Zone 22 safety.

Technical construction

The integrated side channel blower ensures stable suction up to 2600 mm H₂O with an airflow of 320 m³/h. The antistatic polyester filter (20,000 cm²) efficiently captures dust and can be cleaned manually without compressed air. A final HEPA H14 filter with 27,100 cm² surface area, tested according to EN 1822 (99.995% MPPS), guarantees maximum filtration efficiency. The system is built on a solid steel frame and can be equipped with the antistatic D50 accessory kit TA.0201.0000.

Safety and certification

  • ATEX marking: II 1/2D Ex h IIIC T160°C Da/Db.
  • Zone 20 inside (Da) and Zone 21 outside (Db) – fully compliant with EN 17348.
  • All electrical components are IP65 dust-tight and Ex Dust Tight certified.
  • Tank and filter chamber in AISI 304 – all non-metallic parts ATEX-tested.

Technical note

When handling combustible or conductive dust in Zone 21, potential equalization, grounding resistance, and dust-tightness are crucial. The MTL 3533 1/2D meets EN 17348 and can safely collect combustible dust directly inside its internal Zone 20. Always use antistatic or conductive hoses and tools (below 10⁶ Ω). HEPA filter integrity should be tested regularly, and manual filter cleaning should follow manufacturer recommendations.
