Delfin MTL 301 1/2D

ATEX Zone 21 industrial vacuum cleaner for combustible dust

The Delfin MTL 301 1/2D is a compact and mobile ATEX-certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe collection of combustible dust in Zone 21 environments and internally in Zone 20. The AISI 304 stainless steel container, antistatic M-class filter and integrated HEPA H14 final stage ensure efficient filtration and explosion-safe operation. The unit is certified as II 1/2D Ex h tb IIIC T80°C (Int) / T95°C (Ext) Da/Db and complies with EN 17348 and EN IEC 62784:2018.

  • Zone classification: 20 (internal) / 21 (external)
  • Motor: single-phase 115/230 V, 1.1 kW – noise level 74 dB(A)
  • Filtration: antistatic polyester M + HEPA H14 (99.995 %)
  • Capacity: 40 L – AISI 304 stainless steel container with Ø50 mm inlet and option for antistatic disposable bags
  • Certified for internal Zone 20 and external Zone 21 by a notified body

Technical construction

The primary filter is an antistatic star filter (4,000 cm², Ø 360 mm) made of M-class polyester that captures fine and conductive dust. The final stage is a HEPA H14 filter with 11,000 cm² surface area, tested according to EN 1822-5 (MPPS method) with 99.995 % efficiency. The motor provides 2,250 mm H₂O vacuum and 215 m³/h airflow, optimized for dry materials in Zone 21 environments. The filter housing and container are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the motor head and frame are painted steel.

Safety and applications

  • ATEX certified for Zone 20 internal and Zone 21 external (II 1/2D Da/Db)
  • All conductive parts and connections are fully grounded (< 10⁶ Ω)
  • Complies with EN 17348, EN IEC 62784 and IEC 60335-2-69 (Annex AA)
  • Ideal for pharmaceutical, food, chemical and additive manufacturing industries

Technical note

Zone 21 installations require equipment that can withstand an external explosive atmosphere (Zone 21) and at the same time remain sealed internally against Zone 20. The Delfin MTL 301 1/2D is certified for both, featuring dust-tight IP64 construction and controlled equipotential bonding of all conductive parts. Always use antistatic or conductive hoses and accessories to maintain proper resistance to ground and ensure ATEX compliance. Filters should be replaced at tested intervals to maintain certified performance.
