Delfin DG VL 75 EX 1/3D
ATEX Zone 22 industrial vacuum cleaner (internal Zone 20) for combustible dust and solid particles
The Delfin DG VL 75 EX1/3D is a powerful three-phase industrial vacuum cleaner designed for safe collection of combustible dust in ATEX Zone 22 areas, with internal classification as Zone 20. Tested and EN 17348-compliant, it features a AISI 304 stainless steel collection tank as standard. The filter housing is available in stainless steel as an option, while all other parts are made of durable painted steel. With its large filter surface and automatic cleaning system, the unit is ideal for central vacuum systems and demanding cleaning tasks in industrial environments.
- Zone classification: II 1/3D Ex h IIIC T160 °C Da/Dc
- Motor: three-phase 400 V – 7.5–13.8 kW – 72 dB(A)
- Filter: antistatic polyester (M class) + HEPA H14 filter (99.995 %)
- Capacity: 160 L – AISI 304 stainless steel tank (filter housing optional in stainless steel)
- Tested according to EN 17348 – supplied with ATEX-certified control box and automatic filter cleaning
Technical construction
The robust painted steel frame protects the three high-performance turbines and ensures continuous operation even under heavy load. The unit includes an ATEX control box, antistatic filter housing (optional in AISI 304) and a fully automatic “Self Clean” filter cleaning system. The main M-class filter has a total surface area of up to 52,000 cm², while the final HEPA H14 filter provides 99.995 % efficiency (MPPS method).
Safety and certification
- ATEX marking: II 1/3D Ex h IIIC T160 °C Da/Dc
- Certified for Zone 20 internally and Zone 22 externally according to EN 17348
- Tank in AISI 304 stainless steel, other parts in painted steel – optional stainless steel filter housing
- Dust-tight construction ensures no leakage of combustible dust to the environment
Technical note
When collecting combustible dust in Zone 22 areas, it is essential that the vacuum system is certified by a Notified Body and fully complies with EN 17348. The Delfin DG VL 75 EX1/3D is certified Zone 20 internally and Zone 22 externally, making it suitable for fixed extraction systems or central vacuum installations with multiple users. The collection tank is stainless steel (AISI 304) by default, while a stainless steel filter housing can be added for improved corrosion resistance. All conductive parts are properly grounded to maintain total resistance below 10⁶ Ω. Only antistatic or conductive accessories should be used.

FAQ
What does II 1/3D (Zone 20/22) mean?
It indicates very high protection inside the vacuum (Zone 20 – filter and tank) and increased protection outside (Zone 22).
Can it be used in chemical or food production?
Yes – all internal parts in contact with the material are made of stainless steel AISI 304 and antistatic filter media.
How is the filter cleaned?
Through an automatic “Self Clean” system without compressed air – safe and efficient.
Is it suitable for central vacuum installations?
Yes – its high capacity and robust turbines make it ideal for long pipelines and multiple operators.
