Tiger-Vac SS-15 to 55 (TC) TE 2GD
Pneumatic explosion proof vacuum cleaner for liquids in Zone 1 / 21 (2GD) – stainless steel, ESD safe and non-electric
The Tiger-Vac SS-15 to 55 (TC) TE 2GD series consists of legally ATEX and IECEx certified pneumatic industrial vacuums designed for the safe recovery of flammable liquids and vapors in ATEX Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust).
The system operates entirely without electrical or mechanical moving parts, driven by compressed air using the Venturi principle — ideal for environments where electrical equipment is prohibited.
These stainless-steel models (AISI 304) are third-party certified by LCIE as II 2GD Ex h IIC T6 Gb / Ex h IIIC T85 °C Db IP6X and are used worldwide for defueling, depuddling and the recovery of flammable liquids in both military and civil aviation.
Each unit is supplied with a tilt-cart for ergonomic discharge, and an optional activated-carbon filter is available for vapor adsorption.

Technical note
The Tiger-Vac SS series is third-party certified by LCIE (LCIE 03 ATEX 6310 X) and IECEx LCIE 17.0076 X in accordance with EN ISO 80079-36 and EN 17348 (LC – Liquids Collection).
Each model operates via a Venturi system with no moving parts, and the entire construction is conductive and grounded (< 10 Ω).
The units can be connected to standard air compressors from 15 HP and are designed for wet recovery and removal of flammable liquids in Ex-classified areas.
FAQ
How do the pneumatic SS models work?
They operate on the Venturi principle, where compressed air creates vacuum pressure without any motor or electricity – a safe, spark-free solution for explosive atmospheres.
Which ATEX zones does the series cover?
External use in Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust), tested according to EN 17348 for flammable liquid collection (LC).
Can they be used for jet fuel and solvents?
Yes. The series is designed for fuel and solvent handling, including defueling and depuddling of F-16, F-35 and civil aircraft.
What is the difference between single and twin Venturi?
The Twin Venturi version (SS-55 Twin) delivers nearly 70% higher airflow and vacuum performance, suitable for long hoses or large liquid volumes.
Are they ESD safe?
Yes. All components are conductive with full electrical continuity (< 10 Ω).
