Tiger-Vac SS-55 HRS TE (HY-C) 2GD
Pneumatic explosion-proof vacuum cleaner for hydrazine and reactive fuels – stainless steel, ESD-safe, with coalescing filter system (CFE)
The Tiger-Vac SS-55 HRS TE (HY-C) 2GD is a high-capacity pneumatic vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of rocket and aircraft fuels such as hydrazine, monomethylhydrazine (MMH) and UDMH, as well as other highly reactive liquids and solvents.
The system is built entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel with electrical continuity < 10 Ω and contains no electrical components. The pneumatic Venturi drive ensures spark-free operation, and all parts are chemically resistant to aggressive fuels.
The unit is equipped with a CFE – Coalescing Filter Element which efficiently separates liquid and vapor, preventing contamination of the compressed-air system.
The large 151 L recovery tank is mounted on a hydraulic lifting cart (HY-C) with conductive wheels for ergonomic discharge directly into sealed containers.
SS-55 HRS TE (HY-C) is used in defense, aerospace and fuel-handling sectors where explosion safety and material quality are critical.

Technical note
SS-55 HRS TE (HY-C) 2GD is ATEX-certified II 2GD Ex h IIC T6 Gb / Ex h IIIC T85 °C Db (–4 °C ≤ Ta ≤ +40 °C) and IECEx-approved by LCIE.
The system is tested in accordance with EN 17348 (Liquids Collection) and developed for toxic, low-conductivity and corrosive liquids.
The coalescing filter system protects the air supply, while the hydraulic lift enables controlled discharge into sealed containers.
All components are conductive, corrosion-resistant and easy to dismantle for decontamination.
FAQ
What is the HRS model designed for?
HRS (Hydrazine Recovery System) is engineered for the safe collection of extremely reactive fuels such as hydrazine, MMH and UDMH, as well as related solvents and propellants.
It is used in aerospace and defense environments where no electrical equipment may be present.
How does the coalescing filter system (CFE) work?
The CFE element separates liquid and vapor by merging microscopic droplets into larger ones that drain safely into the recovery tank.
It protects both operator and air supply from contamination by hydrazine and other toxic compounds.
Is the system completely non-electric?
Yes. The SS-55 HRS TE (HY-C) is 100 % pneumatic and contains no motors, relays or electrical connections.
The Venturi system creates vacuum via compressed air and eliminates any ignition risk.
Can it be used for fuels other than hydrazine?
Yes. It is tested for handling aircraft and rocket fuels such as JP-8, Jet A-1 and other low-conductivity liquids, as well as solvents and degreasing agents.
How is the container emptied?
The tank is mounted on a hydraulic lifting cart (HY-C) that allows raising and discharging directly into sealed approved containers – with no manual lifting or spillage risk.
Are the materials resistant to hydrazine?
Yes. All parts in contact with liquid are made from AISI 304 stainless steel with antistatic and chemical-resistant finish.
Seals are selected for maximum resistance to hydrazine, ammonia and corrosive vapors.
