ATEX 2GD industrial vacuum cleaner for combustible and conductive dust

The Tiger-Vac EXP1-55L DT EXTENDED (MFS) RE HEPA is a third-party ATEX-certified industrial vacuum system designed for the safe recovery of combustible, fine and electrically conductive dusts. The EXTENDED configuration provides an enlarged filtration chamber for higher performance in demanding process environments. Manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel and fully ESD-safe (< 10 ohms), the unit is compatible with cleanrooms down to ISO Class 4. The large 55 L Detachable Tank (DT) ensures safe, clean and dust-free disposal.

Technical design

The vacuum features an explosion-proof motor (Ex d) and an extended-height filtration chamber that increases airflow stability and filter performance. The primary filter is a static dissipative PTFE-laminated filter with a support cage, cleaned manually using the MFS mechanism. The final filtration stage is an H14 HEPA filter tested to EN 1822 and OSHA requirements. The 55 L detachable recovery tank allows safe, controlled and dust-free material disposal.

Technical note

The EXTENDED version is engineered for applications where finely powdered materials, stringent documentation requirements and ATEX compliance are essential. The combination of an Ex d motor, enlarged filter chamber and static dissipative PTFE-laminated filter makes the unit suitable for pharmaceutical production, API handling, chemical processes and additive manufacturing. The RE HEPA (aerosol-tested) stage ensures stable performance in OEB-rated environments and during dust-sensitive process extraction.

FAQ

What does 2GD certification mean?
It means the vacuum can be used safely in both gas and dust classified zones (Zone 1/2 and 21/22) and has been certified by a notified body.

What is the difference between MFS and MRP?
MFS is a manual mechanical filter shaker, while MRP uses reverse airflow. This model uses MFS due to its PTFE-laminated main filter design.

Is the unit suitable for cleanrooms?
Yes – it is compatible with ISO Class 4 environments and built using stainless steel and ESD-safe components.

How is collected material emptied?
The 55 L Detachable Tank (DT) and optional conductive poly liners allow safe and dust-free disposal.

Is the HEPA filter tested?
