The Tiger-Vac CD-230V EX MRPFT HEPA is an IECEx and ATEX 3rd party certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible, explosive, and conductive dust in Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22. With internal Zone 20 approval (Da) and external Zone 1/21 (Gb/Db), the system is certified for the safe handling of combustible and conductive dust, including metal powders and other low-resistivity materials. This version is equipped with the MRPFT manual reverse purge system featuring static dissipative filter tubes, enabling efficient filter cleaning during operation without compressed air.

Technical construction

The CD-230V EX MRPFT HEPA is built from stainless steel AISI 304 and mounted on a heavy-duty carriage base with an IP65-rated motor enclosure. The MRPFT system uses a bundle of static dissipative filter tubes in epitropic polyester with PTFE coating, providing a large filter surface area and controlled reverse purge cleaning via a manual lever. The final stage is an H14 HEPA filter in a steel housing (99.995% MPPS). The system includes an ESD-safe hose, conductive tools, and a multimeter for verifying resistance (<10 ohms).

Technical note

The MRPFT version differs from the CFB model by using a mechanical, manual reverse purge cleaning system with static dissipative filter tubes instead of a conductive filter bag. This provides a larger filter surface area, makes the unit highly effective with fine dust, and allows cleaning without compressed air. Combined with the H14 HEPA filter, the vacuum is suitable for the most demanding ATEX processes, including recovery of conductive metal powders (aluminium, titanium, iron, magnesium), pharmaceutical ingredients, food additives, and fine combustible dust. When properly grounded, the system ensures full compliance with EN 17348, the EN 60079 series, and IECEx LCI 10.0040X.

FAQ

What is the difference between MRPFT and CFB?
MRPFT uses static dissipative filter tubes and a manual reverse purge system, while CFB uses a conductive filter bag. MRPFT offers more filter surface area and improved performance for fine dust.

Can the MRPFT version be used for conductive metal dust?
Yes. The model is certified for conductive dust and includes ESD-safe tools and H14 HEPA filtration.

Is the unit certified by a notified body?

Does MRPFT require compressed air?
