The Tiger-Vac CD-2000 EX HEPA 1/2GD is a compact, third-party ATEX and IECEx certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for safe dry recovery of combustible and conductive dust in Zone 1/21. The stainless-steel AISI 304 construction, HEPA H14 final filtration (99.995% @ 0.3 μm), Conductive Filter Bag (CFB) and EX-protected IP65 motor make this model ideal for pharmaceutical processing, chemicals, metal powders, electronics and other process environments requiring high filtration performance and documented ATEX compliance.

Technical construction

The CD-2000 EX HEPA is built as a vertical ATEX-certified system in stainless steel AISI 304 with a 50 L recovery tank and a complete static-dissipative accessory kit (38 mm). Primary filtration is performed via the Conductive Filter Bag (CFB), followed by an upstream polyester safety filter and a HEPA H14 final filter located in the upper section. The EX-certified 1.5 kW TEFC motor is enclosed to IP65. All Tiger-Vac HEPA systems undergo aerosol leak-testing according to EN 1822 / IEST before shipment.

Technical note

The CD-2000 EX HEPA is designed for process environments where explosion safety, filtration quality and continuous duty operation are critical. The combination of HEPA H14, polyester safety filter and CFB makes the unit highly suited for pharmaceuticals, chemical production, food powders, cleanroom applications and conductive metal dust. As a 1/2GD vacuum, it is approved for use in Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22, while its internal construction meets Category 1 requirements. For full compliance, the vacuum must be included in a bonded and grounded system in which hoses, tools, tank and frame are electrically connected according to TRGS 727, NFPA 77 and EN 80079-36. Accessories follow the standards but are not ATEX-tested.

FAQ

Can the CD-2000 EX HEPA be used for conductive metal dust?
Yes. The motor and electrical boxes are certified for IIIC dusts, and the CFB filter is fully static dissipative. Only the included ESD-safe tools must be used.

Is the vacuum suitable for pharmaceutical or cleanroom environments?
Yes. HEPA H14 filtration tested according to EN 1822 and IEST makes it ideal for high-purity environments.

Can the unit collect liquids?
No. This is a Dry Recovery model. Liquids require a separate certified interceptor designed for ATEX environments.

Are the accessories ATEX-tested?
No. Accessories follow relevant standards and are ESD-safe, but they are not ATEX-tested – which is normal for the industry.

What are the advantages of the Conductive Filter Bag (CFB)?
The CFB prevents electrostatic build-up and ensures safe, controlled emptying of dust during disposal.
