Tiger-Vac CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MRP) HEPA 1/2GD
ATEX 2GD industrial vacuum cleaner for combustible and conductive dust in Zone 1/2/21/22
The Tiger-Vac CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MRP) HEPA is a vertical, continuous-duty ATEX and IECEx certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible and conductive dust in gas and dust classified areas. Its 36 L stainless steel collection tank (AISI 304), integrated Manual Reverse Purge filter cleaning, and static conductive accessories (resistance below 10 ohms) make it suitable for demanding pharmaceutical, chemical and high-end production environments where both Zone 1/2 and 21/22 must be covered in one system.
- ATEX marking: II 1/2GD – external: Ex db h IIB T4 Gb / Ex h tb IIIC T135°C Db IP65, internal: Ex h IIC T6 Ga / Ex h IIIC T50°C Da (LCIE 03 ATEX 6295 X).
- IECEx 3rd-party certified (IECEx LCI 10.0040X) – evaluated according to IEC 60079-0/-1/-31 and ISO 80079-36/-37.
- Dry recovery, continuous duty and TEFC explosion-proof motor in both 400 V 3-phase (2.2 kW) and 230 V single-phase (1.5 kW) versions, delivering 212 m³/h airflow and 2,540 mm H₂O vacuum.
- Filtration system with conductive aluminized spunbond primary cartridge and H14 HEPA final filter (99.995% at 0.3 µm, MPPS-tested according to EN 1822).
- 36 L detachable stainless steel tank (DT) with optional static dissipative liner for dust-free and controlled disposal.
Technical design and filtration
The CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MRP) HEPA is designed as a fully vertical system with the motor housing at the top, the filter chamber centrally mounted, and the detachable 36 L collection tank below. The conductive aluminized spunbond primary filter cartridge is located in a dedicated filter chamber and cleaned via Manual Reverse Purge (MRP). This ensures stable airflow without the need for a compressed-air installation. The H14 HEPA final filter is mounted on the exhaust outlet, ensuring clean discharge air suitable for pharmaceutical and cleanroom processes. The VRV valve (set at 1,780 mm H₂O) protects the motor from overload during long duty cycles.
Safety, certification and ATEX zoning
- Third-party ATEX certification by LCIE (0081) and IECEx certification confirm compliance with all electrical and non-electrical ignition source requirements in the EN/IEC 60079 series and ISO 80079-36/-37.
- Internally, the vacuum is classified as Category 1G/1D (Ex h IIC T6 Ga / Ex h IIIC T50°C Da), suitable for safe recovery of combustible and conductive dust directly inside the tank and filter chamber.
- Externally, it is certified for use in Zone 1/2 (gas) and 21/22 (dust) with IP65 protection, ensuring dust-tight enclosures.
- The system is tested and approved for the recovery of combustible dust according to EN 17348 (Dry Type dust collector), and grounding continuity and dielectric strength are routine-tested by the manufacturer.
- A grounding continuity tester (digital multimeter) is supplied to verify that system and accessory resistance remain within required limits.
Typical applications
The CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MRP) HEPA is engineered for dry, combustible or conductive dust in continuous-duty environments that require documented ATEX and IECEx compliance. Typical industries include pharmaceutical production (tablet compression, powder handling, coating), food processing (dry ingredients), chemical manufacturing, pigment production, plastics and polymer powder processing, and other process industries with high dust loads. The vertical design makes the unit ideal as a stand-alone point extraction system or as the power unit of a central vacuum system in facilities with limited floor space.
Technical note
With its II 1/2GD classification and internal IIC/IIIC group rating, the CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MRP) HEPA fulfills the requirements for both gas and dust atmospheres. However, the operator is responsible for ensuring proper system integration, including grounding of pipes, hoses, tools, and connected machinery. In accordance with EN 17348 and ATEX standards, grounding should be verified regularly using the supplied tester, and only static conductive or antistatic hoses and tools recommended by the manufacturer may be used. Follow the defined temperature limits for the dry dust collector (-5 °C to +37 °C) and the requirements set forth in LCIE 03 ATEX 6295 X and IECEx LCI 10.0040X for servicing and repairs.

FAQ
Which ATEX zones does the CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MRP) HEPA cover?
The vacuum is certified II 1/2GD with internal Category 1G/1D and external Category 2G/2D, making it suitable for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 when installed and grounded correctly.
What filtration level does it offer?
It includes an H14 HEPA final filter (99.995% at 0.3 µm), MPPS tested according to EN 1822 and individually leak-tested at the factory.
How is the filter cleaned during operation?
The conductive aluminized spunbond primary filter is cleaned using the Manual Reverse Purge system (MRP), which reverses airflow through the filter pleats and maintains stable suction without compressed air.
Can I use standard industrial hoses and tools?
No. To maintain ATEX and IECEx compliance, only static conductive or antistatic hoses, tools and accessories may be used. The supplied grounding tester helps verify proper bonding at all times.
Is it suitable for metal powders?
For highly conductive metal powders, inert solutions are usually recommended. This model is designed for combustible and conductive dust within group IIIC — contact us for application-specific guidance.
