Tiger-Vac CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MRP) ULPA WITH SS CART 1/2GD
ATEX 1/2GD industrial vacuum cleaner for combustible and conductive dust in Zone 1/2/21/22 – with ULPA U15 filtration
The Tiger-Vac CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MRP) ULPA WITH SS CART 1/2GD Z1-2-21-22 is a fully ATEX- and IECEx-certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible and conductive dust in both gas and dust classified atmospheres. Engineered for critical pharmaceutical, biotech, food and process environments, it combines documented compliance, continuous-duty performance and extremely high filtration efficiency. The machine is equipped with a U15 ULPA final filter (99.999%), aerosol leak-tested before shipment, and is cleanroom compatible down to ISO Class 4.
- ATEX marking: II 1/2GD – external: Ex db h IIB T4 Gb / Ex h tb IIIC T135°C Db IP65, internal: Ex h IIC T6 Ga / Ex h IIIC T50°C Da.
- Third-party ATEX and IECEx certified (LCIE 03 ATEX 6295 X / IECEx LCI 10.0040X).
- ULPA U15 final filter with 99.999% at 0.12 µm / 99.9995% at 0.18 µm, tested according to IEST-RP-CC001 and EN 1822 (MPPS).
- Reverse Purge primary filter made of static conductive aluminized spunbond polyester – system resistance < 10 ohms.
- Full AISI 304 stainless-steel construction with CSMT (Carriage with Suspended Motor Top) trolley and static dissipative wheels.
- Designed for continuous duty and validated for GMP-regulated production.
Technical design and filtration
The machine is vertically arranged with the motor and controls at the top, a removable stainless-steel filter chamber in the middle, and a 36 L detachable recovery tank at the bottom. The primary filter is a static conductive aluminized spunbond reverse-purge cartridge (16” H × 3.63” ID × 7.932” OD), cleaned via the Manual Reverse Purge (MRP) system. This ensures stable airflow of 212 m³/h without the use of compressed air. The U15 ULPA filter on the exhaust guarantees extremely clean discharge air suitable for sensitive pharma and food processes.
Safety and ATEX zoning
- External Category 2GD allows use in Zones 1/2 (gas) and 21/22 (dust).
- Internal Category 1G/1D allows safe recovery of combustible dust directly inside the tank and filter chamber.
- Certified as a Dry Type (DT) dust collector according to EN 17348.
- Enclosures rated IP65 for dust-tight protection.
- Includes a multimeter for grounding continuity verification (resistance < 10 Ω).
Typical applications
This model is used in high-risk and contamination-sensitive environments across the pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, food and process sectors. The ULPA U15 efficiency makes it ideal for equipment generating ultra-fine dust or where cross-contamination control is critical, including:
- tablet presses, coating systems, powder mixers and granulators
- filling and dosing lines
- handling of starch, lactose, sugar, excipients and micro-particulates
- critical food and nutraceutical production
Technical note
With internal Category 1G/1D and full third-party certification from LCIE, this model can be installed in systems involving both gas and dust zones. According to EN 17348 and ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, the operator must ensure proper bonding and grounding of all connected equipment (hoses, pipes, wands, tools and machinery). Only static conductive or antistatic accessories may be used. For metal or pyrotechnic dusts, Tiger-Vac’s explosion-proof static dissipative toolkits (< 10 Ω) are mandatory.

FAQ
What does ATEX 1/2GD mean?
It indicates internal Category 1G/1D (tank and filter chamber) and external Category 2GD, allowing installation in Zones 1/2/21/22.
How does the ULPA version differ from the HEPA version?
ULPA U15 delivers 99.999% at 0.12 µm and is aerosol leak-tested, which is required in many pharma and biotech environments.
Is the system cleanroom compatible?
Yes. It is validated for ISO Class 4 cleanrooms.
Does the filter cleaning system require compressed air?
No. Manual Reverse Purge (MRP) works without compressed air, reversing airflow through the filter pleats via an integrated mechanism.
Can it be used for metal or pyrotechnic dust?
Yes, but only with Tiger-Vac’s explosion-proof static dissipative toolkits (< 10 Ω). Contact us for an application evaluation.
