Tiger-Vac CD-IT (114L) EX (CFE) HEPA 1/2GD – Oil-Based Inert ATEX Vacuum for Reactive Metal Powders
The Tiger-Vac CD-IT (114L) EX (CFE) HEPA 1/2GD is a high-capacity inert vacuum system designed for the safe recovery and neutralization of conductive, combustible and self-heating metal powders in ATEX Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. The unit uses an oil-based immersion process (“Wet Oil Mix”) where reactive metal dust is submerged in a controlled neutralizing liquid bath, eliminating ignition sources and reducing thermal and chemical reactivity.

Neutralizing liquid, permitted and prohibited materials
The CD-IT (114L) is designed for use with mineral oil or another manufacturer-approved neutralizing liquid. Oil immersion is mandatory for reactive or water-reactive dusts such as magnesium, aluminium, titanium, zirconium and lithium-based blends.
Permitted: reactive metal powders, AM metal powders, ammunition residues, pyrotechnic dust.
Not permitted: organic, food, plastic, wood or other non-metallic dusts.

The CD-IT (114L) is the mid-sized model in the three-unit Tiger-Vac inert series. All models share the same immersion principle, ATEX 1/2GD classification and IECEx compliance, differing mainly in liquid bath capacity and motor performance.
