Tiger-Vac SS-IT (85L) EX 2GD PNEUMATIC is a pneumatic inert vacuum cleaner equipped with an Immersion Separator Wet Mix, designed for the safe recovery and inertization of conductive and explosive metal dust in a controlled water-based liquid bath.

Inertization and liquid type

The system uses the Immersion Separator Wet Mix and is approved exclusively for use with water. Dust is conveyed directly into a liquid bath where it is bound, cooled and stabilized as wet sludge. The use of oil is not permitted in this model.

Permitted metals

This model is certified for the recovery and inertization of conductive and explosive metal dust such as aluminum, magnesium, zirconium and other commercial alloys, when used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and documented material compatibility.

Prohibited materials

Organic dust, non-metallic materials and materials without documented compatibility with water must not be collected. The customer must always verify the material safety data sheet before use.

Technical design

The vacuum cleaner is air-operated and based on the Venturi principle, with no electrical components or moving mechanical parts. The construction is made of AISI 304 stainless steel and mounted on a heavy-duty cart with a detachable recovery tank.

Filtration

The system is equipped with a stainless steel Coalescing Filter Element for moisture separation and a HEPA H14 filter with a documented efficiency of 99.995% at 0.3 micron. All HEPA units are aerosol leak tested before delivery.

Safety and certification

The SS-IT (85L) is ATEX 2GD certified and IECEx approved with Ex h IIC T6 Gb and Ex h IIIC T85°C Db. The system is ESD-safe with a documented system resistance below 10 ohms and complies with EN 17348 WT and NFPA 484 for wet inertization of metal dust.

Accessories and optional equipment

Included are a HEPA H14 filter, coalescing filter, sieve basket, degassing vent, liquid level indicator, conductive hoses and a complete tool kit. Optional equipment includes a rupture disk, dust extraction arm with various hoods and an upgraded heavy-duty stainless steel frame.

Professional note

This model represents a certified exception where water is used to inertize metals that are normally considered water-reactive. This is documented through ATEX, IECEx and EN 17348 WT certifications and must not be generalized to other inert systems without equivalent documentation.
