CURIOSITY ATEX
ATEX antistatic nozzle for explosive-risk areas
CURIOSITY ATEX BLACK is a round brush nozzle designed for vacuuming and scrubbing in areas where explosive atmospheres may occur (e.g. grain, starch, sugar, light metals, coal and wood dust). The nozzle is made of black, oil-resistant rubber and is antistatic, reducing electrostatic charge during use in ATEX-classified zones.
Material, conductivity and temperature range
Made of oil-resistant rubber; operating temperature –20 °C to +110 °C. Antistatic: yes. FDA-compliant: no. The conductive elastomer used for ATEX accessories has been tested for volume resistivity in accordance with UNI ISO 1853:2011 (representative result ~1.1 Ω·m).
Brushes and sizes
Available with natural hair, polyester or brass brushes – or a combination of these. Brush heads are supplied in Ø75 mm or Ø100 mm sizes to match precision or surface cleaning tasks.
Compatibility
Fits handles with internal diameters of Ø38, Ø40 or Ø50 mm and is compatible with standard industrial vacuum hose systems. Supplied in black.
Applications
Typical applications in ATEX zones:
- Collection of grain, starch, sugar and other organic dusts
- Light metals (e.g. aluminium), coal and wood dust
- Scrubbing and vacuuming where explosion risk may occur
Note: It is the user’s responsibility to assess suitability according to local risk assessment and applicable regulations when used in ATEX-classified areas.
