Delfin MTL 201 BP 1/3D
ATEX Zone 22 vacuum cleaner for combustible dust and solid particles
The Delfin MTL 201 BP is a compact and mobile ATEX-certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe collection of combustible dust in Zone 22 areas. Its AISI 304 stainless steel container, antistatic filters and integrated Dustop cleaning system make it ideal for pharmaceutical, chemical and metalworking environments where explosive dust may be present.
- Zone classification: II 1/3D Ex h tb IIIC T80°C (Int) / T95°C (Ext) Da/Dc.
- Motor: single-phase 230 V, 1.1 kW – quiet operation at 74 dB(A).
- Filter: antistatic polyester M-class with Dustop cleaning + H14 HEPA final filter.
- Capacity: 20 L – AISI 304 stainless steel container with tangential inlet and cyclone.
- Tested according to EN IEC 62784:2018 for Zone 22 and supplied with ATEX accessory kit.
Technical design
The unit features a tangential inlet with an integrated cyclone that reduces filter load and improves airflow (180 m³/h). The primary filter of 30,000 cm² is made of antistatic polyester (M-class) and cleaned mechanically using the Dustop system. A HEPA H14 filter (11,000 cm²) tested according to EN 1822-5 provides 99.995% efficiency (MPPS method).
Safety and certification
- ATEX marking: II 1/3D Ex h tb IIIC T80°C (Int) / T95°C (Ext) Da/Dc.
- Zone 20 inside the vacuum (container, filter chamber and air path – 1D) and Zone 22 on outer surfaces and surrounding atmosphere (3D).
- Complies with EN 17348 (collection of combustible dust), EN IEC 62784 and IEC 60335-2-69 (ACD standards).
- Container and housing made of AISI 304 stainless steel – conductive parts and ESD-safe accessories included.
Technical note
In Zone 22 installations, tight containment and controlled equipotential bonding are crucial. The Delfin MTL 201 BP is certified for Zone 20 inside (Da) and Zone 22 outside (Dc) and is therefore suitable for direct collection of combustible dust within the container and filter housing. Use only antistatic or conductive hoses and accessories to maintain a grounding resistance below 10⁶ Ω. Maintain the Dustop system and replace the HEPA filter at tested intervals to ensure continued ATEX compliance.
