Delfin MTL 302 ACD 1/-D
ACD vacuum cleaner for non-classified areas with H14 filtration
The Delfin MTL 302 ACD is a compact and mobile industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe collection of fine, dry and potentially hazardous dust in areas outside ATEX classified zones. The unit is marked II 1/-D Ex h IIIC T80°C (Int.) Da/- and complies with IEC 60335-2-69 (Annex AA) – ACD (Applied for Combustible Dust) classification. It features a HEPA H14 filter and an antistatic M-class primary filter to ensure high filtration efficiency and controlled dissipation of static electricity.
- Classification: ACD (Applied for Combustible Dust) according to IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA
- Marking: II 1/-D Ex h IIIC T80°C (Int.) Da/-
- Motor: single-phase 230 V, 2.2 kW – noise level 74 dB(A)
- Filtration: antistatic polyester M + HEPA H14 (99.995 %)
- Capacity: 40 L – AISI 304 stainless steel container with Ø50 mm inlet and option for antistatic disposable bags (M-class)
Technical construction
The primary filter is an antistatic star filter (4,000 cm², Ø 360 mm) made of M-class polyester, retaining fine dust particles. The final stage is a HEPA H14 filter with 26,000 cm² surface area, tested according to EN 1822-5 (MPPS method) with 99.995 % efficiency. The motor head delivers 2,500 mm H₂O vacuum and 360 m³/h airflow, providing strong and stable suction for dry materials. The filter housing and container are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the motor head and frame are made of painted steel.
Safety and application
- ACD-classified according to IEC 60335-2-69 – not ATEX certified.
- All non-metallic components made from antistatic materials with controlled surface resistance.
- All conductive parts are fully grounded to prevent electrostatic build-up.
- Ideal for pharmaceutical environments, laboratories, food production, and general industrial cleaning in safe (non-classified) areas.
Technical note
ACD stands for Applied for Combustible Dust and refers to IEC-classified vacuum cleaners (IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA) designed to safely handle combustible dust in non-classified areas. An ACD vacuum is not ATEX-certified but meets the technical requirements for tightness, filtration, and static control – allowing its use in environments where combustible dust may occur, but no explosive atmosphere can form. The Delfin MTL 302 ACD complies with EN 60335-2-69 (Annex AA) and EN 1822-5 and is equipped with antistatic filters and ESD-compatible components.

FAQ
What does ACD mean?
ACD stands for Applied for Combustible Dust and refers to vacuum cleaners designed to safely handle combustible dust in non-classified areas.
Is the MTL 302 ACD ATEX certified?
No. It is not ATEX certified and must not be used in explosive atmospheres. It is intended for safe, non-classified areas (Ord. location).
What is the filter class?
HEPA H14 with 99.995 % efficiency (EN 1822-5).
Can it handle combustible dust?
Only in environments where no explosive atmosphere can form. For ATEX zones or uncertain areas, certified ATEX equipment must be used.
Which bags and filters can be used?
Antistatic disposable M-class bags and Delfin’s original H14 final filter are recommended.
