The Delfin MTL 451 INERT Z21 is a mobile industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe collection of gunpowder and metal dust in the most hazardous areas of indoor shooting ranges. With Notified Body certification (IECEx/ATEX 1/2D) and H14 HEPA filtration, it effectively neutralizes reactive dust in full compliance with the strictest EU ATEX and occupational health requirements.
Certified safety – ATEX Zone 21
The MTL 451 INERT Z21 is approved for use in Zone 21 (II 1/2D) and operates in an internal Zone 20 environment. Its liquid bath technology neutralizes dust directly in inert fluid, eliminating the risk of sparks, heat buildup, or static electricity. Certification by Notified Body 0081 provides documented assurance of safety for explosive dust.
Why the liquid bath is essential
Experience from incidents in both Europe and the USA shows that standard ATEX vacuums are not sufficient in Zone 21 when only using dry collection. With the MTL 451’s liquid bath, dust is immediately isolated and neutralized, breaking the ignition chain directly inside the collection tank.
Complete protection and user-friendliness
The MTL 451 INERT Z21 combines H14 HEPA filtration (99.995% retention at MPPS according to EN 1822) with full ESD grounding, manual filter cleaning, and a compact design. Its 45-liter AISI304 stainless steel tank makes disposal and handling simple, while the robust construction ensures durability for intensive use in shooting ranges and technical rooms.
