ATEX dust collector for gas Zone 2 – internal and external

Depureco DF22 DEX 3/3G is an ATEX dust collector designed as a mobile filter unit for the collection of airborne material in environments with potentially explosive gas atmospheres. The unit is developed for point extraction and process extraction where ATEX-approved extraction is required in gas Zone 2.

The dust collector is marked II 3/3G Ex h IIB T3 Gc/Gc and is designed as a “Dry Type” dust collector in accordance with EN 17348. The ATEX category 3/3G means that the unit is classified for gas Zone 2 both inside the machine and in the surrounding environment.

Application

DF22 DEX 3/3G is used for extraction at process equipment, filling stations and work areas where explosive gas mixtures may occur. The mobile filter unit can be used with direct hose connection or combined with an extraction arm for flexible point extraction in ATEX-classified gas environments.

Technical design

The suction unit consists of an ATEX-certified electric fan that generates the required airflow through the filtration system. The construction is suitable for operation in gas Zone 2, both internally and externally.

The filter unit is built around an antistatic polyester star filter with manual filter cleaning. Collected material is discharged into an AISI 304 stainless steel bin mounted on a mobile chassis.
