DUSTY ATEX/ESD
Antistatic brush nozzle for precision cleaning in ATEX environments
DUSTY ATEX/ESD is a compact, curved brush nozzle made from antistatic NBR (MM019NN), designed for safe collection of fine dust and powders in areas where controlled dissipation of static electricity is required.
The curved geometry and dense bristle ring provide high precision in crevices, edges, sensitive process equipment and hard-to-reach areas where the risk of static buildup must be minimised.
Typical applications and industries
- Collection of combustible dust, fine powders and residues in narrow gaps, joints and along edges.
- Cleaning around filling lines, mixers, silos and process equipment in ATEX-classified areas.
- Maintenance cleaning in areas with risk of dust explosion.
- Commonly used in pharmaceutical, chemical, metal, plastics, 3D printing and food industries (no product contact).
FAQ
- Can the nozzle be used in all ATEX zones?
The nozzle is antistatic and can be used in ATEX/ESD-controlled environments as part of a correctly bonded and grounded system. The complete installation determines suitability for a specific zone. - What tasks is the nozzle suitable for?
Collection of dry, combustible dust and fine powder on machines, floors and process equipment. - Should it be used with an antistatic hose?
Yes. For correct ATEX performance the nozzle must be used together with an antistatic or conductive hose and proper grounding. - Is the nozzle food-approved?
No. For food contact applications, the FOOD/FDA version must be selected. - Who is responsible for ATEX safety?
The customer. Aspirogom declares the component as antistatic; the customer must verify the safety of the full installation.
Minimum order quantity is 10 pcs per variant.
The black NBR material (MM019NN) has an electrical resistance of 5–50 kΩ (bulk resistivity). Aspirogom declares the component as antistatic. It can be used in ATEX and ESD-controlled environments as part of a correctly bonded and grounded system. According to applicable ATEX/ESD standards, use in explosive atmospheres requires that the customer verifies the overall system safety, including correct bonding/grounding of hoses, nozzles, pipes, machine and operator work practices. Responsibility follows the wording of standards such as TRGS 727, EN 1127-1, NFPA 77 and EN 80079-36.
