NORRES CLAMP 208
Clamp for light-duty hoses with smooth outer wall
The NORRES CLAMP 208 is a classic hose clamp designed for fastening light and medium-duty hoses with a smooth outer surface. It provides quick, secure and even clamping without damaging the hose material. The clamp is reusable and available in several material grades (W1, W2, W4) depending on the environmental conditions and corrosion resistance required.
Properties and construction
- Quick and easy installation – reusable.
- Uniform clamping and reliable sealing at low pressure.
- Available in different material grades:
- W1: band, screw and housing made of galvanised steel.
- W2: band and housing made of stainless steel 1.4016 (AISI 430), screw made of galvanised steel.
- W4: band, screw and housing made of stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304).
- Complies with RoHS Directive and REACH Regulation.
Applications
For fastening smooth suction, pressure and ventilation hoses in industrial or construction environments – especially where fast assembly, low weight and corrosion protection are required. Suitable for most smooth PVC, PUR and rubber hoses in the NORRES range.
Technical note
CLAMP 208 is the standard choice for non-corrugated hoses and can be used in both light and semi-industrial applications. For ATEX installations requiring equipotential bonding, CLAMP 212 (W2/W4) or CLAMP 216 is recommended. For food and pharmaceutical use, the W4 version in stainless steel AISI 304 should always be selected.
Recommended accessories
- CONNECT 223 / 228 / 270–271 – couplings and adapters for AIRDUC®, PROTAPE® and smooth hoses.

FAQ: NORRES CLAMP 208
What is the NORRES CLAMP 208 used for?
For fastening light and medium-duty hoses with a smooth outer wall. Provides secure and uniform clamping at low pressure.
Is the CLAMP 208 available in stainless steel?
Yes – it is available in three material grades: W1 (galvanised), W2 (AISI 430) and W4 (AISI 304).
Can CLAMP 208 be used in ATEX areas?
Only if the hose and connector together ensure proper electrical continuity. For equipotential bonding, CLAMP 212 is recommended.
Which quality should I choose?
W1 for standard use, W2 for humid environments, W4 for hygienic or food-grade installations.
How do I choose the correct size?
Measure the hose’s outer diameter and select a clamp whose clamping range covers that value. See the table below.
