NORRES CONNECT 223 SLEEVE

Heat-shrink sleeve for connecting two hoses or attaching to an adapter

The NORRES CONNECT 223 SLEEVE is a flexible heat-shrink sleeve made of durable polyolefin. It is used for connecting two hoses or attaching a hose to a nozzle or adapter where a smooth, tight and mechanically stable joint is required. When heated, the material automatically conforms to the surface and provides a secure, long-lasting seal without adhesives.

Properties and construction

  • Adapts perfectly to any surface when heated (heat-shrink).
  • Easy and quick installation – requires only a heat gun or hot-air tool.
  • Made of high-performance polyolefin with strong mechanical properties.
  • Temperature range from –40 °C to +125 °C.
  • Complies with RoHS and REACH regulations.

Applications

For joining flexible industrial hoses, vacuum and extraction systems, and for sealing and protecting hose connections in laboratories, cleaning systems and process installations. Also suitable for cable bundling and mechanical protection against abrasion and moisture.

Technical note

Heat-shrink sleeves such as CONNECT 223 provide a tight and vibration-resistant joint without mechanical clamps. In ATEX installations, however, continuous electrical bonding must be ensured – therefore, antistatic couplings or separate grounding should be used if sleeves are installed in potentially explosive areas.

Recommended accessories

  • CLAMP 208 – mechanical support for high negative pressure.
  • CONNECT 270 / 271 – stainless-steel couplings for food and process industries.

FAQ: NORRES CONNECT 223 SLEEVE

What is CONNECT 223 SLEEVE used for?
For flexible and tight connection of two hoses or for attaching a hose to an adapter.

How is the sleeve installed?
Cut to length, position over the joint, and heat evenly until the material shrinks tightly around the surface.

What material is it made of?
Polyolefin with high mechanical strength and heat resistance.

Can CONNECT 223 SLEEVE be used in ATEX zones?
Only when equipotential bonding is provided, since the material itself is not electrically conductive.

Are different lengths available?
Yes – short sleeves (70–190 mm) and 1 m tube sections for customised cuts.
