Soft hose sleeve for food and pharmaceutical applications
The NORRES CONNECT 240 + 241 FOOD is a flexible, highly durable sleeve made of Pre-PUR® (ether-based polyurethane), developed for quick and hygienic connection of suction and pressure hoses in food and pharmaceutical systems. The material is odourless and tasteless, fully compliant with EU 10/2011, EC 1935/2004 and EU 2015/174. Version 240 is the standard type, while version 241 is available with threaded or pre-assembled, gas- and liquid-tight connection.
Properties and design
- Quick and easy installation – reusable (threaded version).
- Gas- and liquid-tight in pre-assembled version.
- Food-grade wall (Pre-PUR® ether-PU), odourless and tasteless.
- Resistant to microbes, hydrolysis, oil and chemicals.
- Temperature range –40 °C … +90 °C (short-term up to 125 °C).
- Complies with RoHS and REACH directives.
Applications
For connecting flexible hoses in food, pharmaceutical and laboratory installations as well as in vacuum conveying and dosing systems. Ideal for vacuum transport, tablet presses and industrial vacuum cleaners where cleanliness and hygiene are critical.
Technical note
The Pre-PUR® ether-based polyurethane provides low migration and superior chemical resistance compared to ester-based types. The CONNECT 240 + 241 FOOD is suitable for systems requiring hygienic sealing and quick disassembly. For use in ATEX zones, metal-bonded versions and proper grounding must be ensured.
