NORRES CONNECT 242
Threaded adapter in Pre-PUR® for tight hose and pipe connections
The NORRES CONNECT 242 is a robust threaded adapter made of Pre-PUR® (ether-based polyurethane), designed for secure and leak-tight connection of flexible industrial hoses. The adapter features a precision DIN ISO 228 pipe thread, making it ideal for transitions between hoses and fixed piping or machine fittings in suction and pressure systems. Available in both standard and pre-assembled versions.
Properties and design
- Quick and easy installation – reusable (threaded version).
- Gas- and liquid-tight in the pre-assembled version.
- High abrasion resistance and chemical durability.
- Resistant to oils, fuels and microbes.
- Temperature range –40 °C … +90 °C.
- Thread according to DIN ISO 228.
- Complies with RoHS and REACH directives.
Applications
CONNECT 242 is used as a transition between hoses and threaded fittings in industrial suction and pressure systems – for example, extraction arms, process machinery and vacuum cleaners. It can be directly screwed into pipes or couplings and provides a tight and vibration-resistant connection.
Technical note
Adapters made of Pre-PUR® combine high mechanical strength with low weight and excellent chemical resistance. The smooth inner geometry minimizes pressure drop and prevents material buildup in air, dust and granulate conveying systems. When used in ATEX environments, ensure proper grounding of the metal spiral or coupling for electrical continuity.
Recommended accessories
- CLAMP 211 – 217 – clamps for secure hose attachment.
- CONNECT 240 / 241 AS – sleeves and adapters for AIRDUC® / PROTAPE® hoses.
