Steel Gravity – Black Line (ATEX/ESD)
Product description
Steel Gravity – Black Line is a brush nozzle for industrial vacuum cleaning systems, manufactured in oil-resistant NBR rubber and steel. The product is designed for applications requiring mechanical durability and controlled dissipation of electrostatic charge during vacuum cleaning operations.
What can the product be used for
- Vacuum cleaning combined with mechanical surface scrubbing
- Removal of metal chips, splinters, mineral dust and process residues
- Vacuum cleaning in industrial environments where control of electrostatic charge is required
Which industries use the product
- General industry
- Process industry
- ATEX-related production environments
Technical note
The Black Line variant is manufactured using the NBR rubber compound MM019NN. The electrical properties of the compound are documented through volume resistivity measurements carried out by an accredited laboratory (CERISIE) in accordance with ISO 1853:2011.
The measured volume resistivity of the raw material is approximately 1.1 Ω·m, and the electrical resistance is specified within the range of 5–50 kΩ. The reported measurement results refer exclusively to the tested sample.
The manufacturer’s documentation states that identical values cannot necessarily be reproduced under different test conditions, in other laboratories or on finished products.
Progetto Gomma S.r.l. does not issue declarations of conformity with the ATEX Directive (94/9/EC / 2014/34/EU) for accessories for industrial vacuum cleaning systems. Accessories are not ATEX-certified as standalone components.
It is the responsibility of the equipment manufacturer to assess suitability, ensure proper equipotential bonding, and carry out the overall ATEX assessment of the finished equipment in which this product is incorporated.

FAQ
What does it mean that Steel Gravity – Black Line is antistatic?
Being antistatic means that the NBR rubber compound MM019NN used in the product has documented electrical properties that enable controlled dissipation of electrostatic charge. These properties are documented through volume resistivity measurements conducted in accordance with ISO 1853:2011.
Is Steel Gravity – Black Line ATEX certified?
No. Accessories such as brush nozzles are not ATEX certified as standalone components. The manufacturer does not issue an ATEX declaration for this product. It is the responsibility of the equipment manufacturer to assess compliance with the ATEX Directive for the complete system.
Which materials are used in the product?
The product is manufactured from NBR rubber compound MM019NN and steel. The manufacturer’s documentation does not specify further alloy details for the steel components.
How are the electrical properties documented?
The electrical properties are documented through laboratory measurements performed by CERISIE in accordance with ISO 1853:2011 on raw material supplied by the manufacturer.
Can the product be used in ATEX zones?
The product may be used as part of equipment operating in ATEX-classified zones, but only as part of an overall assessment. It is the responsibility of the equipment manufacturer to ensure correct equipotential bonding, installation and the overall ATEX assessment of the finished system.
