The Tiger-Vac EXP1-5 (4W) RE HEPA is a compact, lightweight and fully certified explosion proof industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible and conductive dusts in Zone 1/21 classified areas. The unit is third-party ATEX certified (Notify Body 0081), made from static dissipative stainless steel (SS304), and supplied with a complete static dissipative tool kit. A H14 HEPA final filter is included as standard.

  • Tested according to EN 17348 for combustible dust collection.
  • System resistivity: < 10 Ω – fully ESD safe.
  • Primary filter, pre-filter and HEPA H14 are supplied in static dissipative versions.

Technical construction

The unit is equipped with a 230 V single-phase TEFC motor (totally enclosed, fan cooled) offering stable performance and efficient power consumption (1,000 W). The vacuum is supplied in a four-wheel dolly configuration for maximum mobility. The tank is built in SS304 with static dissipative properties. The H14 HEPA filter provides 99.995% efficiency at 0.3 micron (MPPS) and is aerosol leak-tested at the factory.

Technical note

The EXP1-5 (4W) RE HEPA is one of the smallest fully certified explosion proof canister vacuums on the market and is widely used in chemical processing, pharmaceutical production, metalworking, additive manufacturing, electronics manufacturing and environments containing both combustible and conductive dusts. Its very low resistance (below 10 Ω) ensures rapid equalisation of electrostatic potential throughout the system. All tools are SD (not ATEX tested, but built to ESD standards). Each HEPA filter is aerosol leak-tested before shipment to ensure filtration integrity.

Is this model third-party certified?
Yes. The EXP1-5 (4W) RE HEPA is ATEX 2GD certified by Notify Body 0081, ensuring documented safety for use in explosive atmospheres.

Can it recover both combustible and conductive dust?
Yes – the system is ESD safe (<10 ohms), and Tiger-Vac guarantees safe recovery of both conductive and combustible dusts.

What filter class does it use?

Is the accessory kit ATEX certified?
