Tiger-Vac C-10 EX (2+2W) MR BLSD
ATEX 1/3D industrial vacuum cleaner with brushless motor for combustible dust in Zone 22 and internal Zone 20
Tiger-Vac C-10 EX (2+2W) MR BLSD is an ATEX and IECEx certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible and conductive dust in Zone 22 areas, where a very high level of protection is also required inside the suction and collection system (Zone 20). The brushless motor provides extremely long service life, reduced maintenance and a lower spark potential. The unit is third-party certified by LCIE (0081) as II 1/3D with internal Ex h IIIC T85°C Da and external Ex h tc IIIC T85°C Dc IP6X and is tested for combustible dust collection according to EN 17348 DT.
Filtration with 4 HEPA H14 filters and conductive collection bag
The C-10 EX (2+2W) MR BLSD uses a multi-stage filtration system combining a large static dissipative main filter with four individual HEPA H14 filters, each factory tested to 99.99% efficiency at 0.3 µm. All recovered dust is collected in a conductive poly liner bag placed inside the 38 L stainless steel recovery tank, allowing safe and low-dust disposal. The static dissipative filter design and ESD-safe accessories minimise electrostatic charging and reduce ESD risks in ATEX classified environments.
Brushless motor for high reliability
The BLSD version is equipped with a robust brushless motor rated 1.1 kW, delivering 216 m³/h airflow and 2,250 mm H₂O vacuum. Compared to a traditional universal motor, the brushless drive offers significantly longer lifetime, more stable performance and reduced service requirements. An integrated filter blockage indicator light alerts the operator when the conductive collection bag is getting full, helping to maintain airflow and protect the filtration system. The recovery tank and frame are made of stainless steel and mounted on a solid 2+2 wheel trolley for easy manoeuvring in production areas.
ATEX, IECEx and EN 17348 certification
The C-10 EX (2+2W) MR BLSD is fully third-party certified according to IECEx LCIE 15.0048, LCIE 15 ATEX 3061 and LCIE 19 ATEX 1001 X. This covers both the internal Zone 20 (Da) and the external Zone 22 (Dc), assessed according to EN IEC 60079-0, EN 60079-31 and EN ISO 80079-36/37. The lower temperature class T85°C makes the BLSD version particularly suitable for applications with temperature-sensitive combustible dusts, where additional safety margin against ignition is required.
Industries and applications
The unit is ideal for general cleaning in production areas where combustible dust is present: food ingredients, sugar, starch, milk powder, pharmaceutical and biotech powder processes, chemical production, plastic and rubber powders, composite and metal dust, 3D printing and additive manufacturing, as well as filling, packaging and storage areas in Zone 22. The conductive collection bag and ESD-safe tool kit make the vacuum especially suitable where the dust is both combustible and electrically conductive.
Standard accessories – static dissipative tool kit
Tiger-Vac C-10 EX (2+2W) MR BLSD is supplied with a complete set of static dissipative tools and filters: conductive suction hose (38 mm × 3 m), chrome curved handle with airflow regulator, two extension wands (32 mm), ESD-safe floor tool with conductive nylon bristles, round brush, crevice tool and upholstery tool. A static dissipative main cloth filter with cage, conductive poly liner collection bag and upstream HEPA filter are also included, together with a cable holder hook mounted on the powerhead.
Optional accessories and configuration
For demanding installations the unit can be configured with longer static conductive hoses (up to 15 m via 50 ft hose), additional hose cuffs and unions, a double-bend 38 mm wand, larger ESD-safe floor tools and 38–32 mm reducers. A high temperature main filter assembly (SD) is available for processes involving hot air or dust. This makes it possible to integrate the vacuum with process machines, filling lines and semi-centralised vacuum systems while maintaining full ATEX and ESD compatibility throughout the installation.
Technical note on internal Zone 20 and bonding
As an II 1/3D vacuum cleaner, the C-10 EX (2+2W) MR BLSD is certified for the direct recovery of combustible dust inside the internal Zone 20 (Da) of the tank and filter housing, while the external parts are suitable for operation in Zone 22 (Dc). To maintain this level of protection, hoses, tools, couplings, the operator and the installation must be properly bonded and grounded. Always use static conductive or static dissipative hoses and accessories, ensure effective earthing and follow the requirements of ATEX, EN 17348 and internal plant safety procedures.

FAQ
What is the difference between the MR and MR BLSD versions?
The MR BLSD version is fitted with a brushless motor that offers longer service life, lower spark potential and improved reliability. Both versions are ATEX 1/3D certified and supplied with 4 HEPA H14 filters, but the BLSD model is optimised for demanding and continuous operation.
Why does the BLSD version have a lower temperature class T85°C?
The brushless motor generates less heat and therefore meets the lower temperature class T85°C. This gives an additional safety margin when handling temperature-sensitive combustible dusts.
How many HEPA filters are included?
The vacuum is supplied with 4 HEPA H14 filters (99.99% at 0.3 µm), as well as a static dissipative main cloth filter and an upstream HEPA filter, providing a very high overall filtration level.
Can this model be used for conductive metal dust?
It is certified for combustible dust according to EN 17348. For conductive metal dust, Tiger-Vac INERT models with liquid or oil bath are generally recommended.
Is the unit delivered with ATEX-compliant accessories?
The vacuum is supplied with a complete static dissipative tool kit and conductive collection bag. As with all ATEX systems, correct bonding, earthing and system design are the responsibility of the end user and must follow applicable standards and internal procedures.
