Tiger-Vac C-25 EX TC WET & DRY
ATEX Zone 20/22 wet & dry vacuum cleaner for combustible dust and non-flammable liquids
The Tiger-Vac C-25 EX TC WET & DRY 1/3D is a mobile, stainless steel ATEX-certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible dust (Zone 20 internal / Zone 22 external) as well as non-flammable liquids. The large 56.8 L recovery tank, powerful 1.2 kW motor and 4 x HEPA H14 filters make this model ideal for housekeeping and general cleaning in pharmaceutical, food and chemical environments where a combination of explosive dust and liquid spills requires documented safety.
- ATEX marking: II 1/3D – Ex h tc IIIC T200°C Dc IP6X (external) / Ex h IIIC T200°C Da (internal).
- IECEx and ATEX 3rd-party certified by LCIE (certificates IECEx LCIE 15.0048 and LCIE 15 ATEX 3061).
- 56.8 L dry recovery and 64.4 L liquid recovery capacity in stainless steel Type 304.
- Designed for the safe recovery of combustible dust according to EN 17348 DT/LC and for non-flammable liquid collection in Zone 22 areas.
- Supplied with a complete static dissipative (ESD) tool kit and ESD-safe construction for controlled static discharge.
Technical design
The C-25 EX TC WET & DRY is built around a heavy-duty Type 304 stainless steel tank mounted on a powder-coated Tilt Cart (TC). The 38 mm suction inlet directs airflow through a primary cloth filter that protects the downstream HEPA stages. The 1-phase 1.2 kW Ametek® by-pass motor provides an airflow of 194 m³/h and a vacuum of up to 2,504 mm H₂O at a noise level of approx. 72 dB(A). The filtration package consists of a 3,480 cm² primary cloth filter combined with 4 individually factory-tested HEPA H14 filters (total HEPA surface area 20,253 cm²).
Safety, certification and zones
- Zone classification: II 1/3D – very high protection inside (Zone 20, Da) and enhanced protection outside (Zone 22, Dc).
- Ex marking: Ex h tc IIIC T200°C Dc IP6X (external) / Ex h IIIC T200°C Da (internal) with T200°C temperature class for this 1.2 kW version.
- Permissible ambient temperature: -5 °C to +37 °C.
- Compliant with EN IEC 60079-0, EN 60079-31, EN ISO 80079-36/-37 and EN 17348 DT/LC.
- 3rd-party certification performed by Notify Body LCIE (0081), ensuring documented compliance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.
- ESD-safe design with static dissipative accessories to prevent electrostatic ignition sources.
Applications and industries
This vacuum cleaner is engineered for safe daily cleaning and recovery of combustible dust, fine particles and non-flammable liquids in explosive dust atmospheres. It is particularly suitable for:
- Pharmaceutical production and cleanrooms handling combustible powders and cleaning liquids.
- Food processing (powders, ingredients, sugar, starch) requiring hygienic stainless steel construction.
- Chemical industry, paint and powder handling where dust and spills must be safely removed in Zone 22.
- General industrial housekeeping and maintenance in production areas with combustible dust.
Technical note
As an II 1/3D vacuum cleaner, the C-25 EX TC WET & DRY is designed for internal Zone 20 (Da) in the tank and filter chamber and external Zone 22 (Dc) around the machine. This allows combustible dust to be safely collected directly into the tank, while the outer surface can operate in Zone 22 if correctly installed and grounded. To maintain ATEX compliance, all hoses, nozzles and conductive parts must be static dissipative and bonded into a grounding system below 10⁶ Ω. The documented 3rd-party certification (LCIE 0081) provides an additional layer of safety for users requiring verified compliance with ATEX and IEC standards.

FAQ
What does II 1/3D mean for this vacuum cleaner?
It means the vacuum provides very high protection internally (Zone 20 – dust inside the tank and filter housing) and enhanced protection externally (Zone 22 – dust atmosphere around the machine). It is therefore suitable for the direct recovery of combustible dust into the tank inside an ATEX-classified area.
Can the C-25 EX TC WET & DRY collect both dust and liquids?
Yes. The vacuum is approved for the recovery of combustible dust and non-flammable liquids. The stainless tank holds 56.8 L of dry material and up to 64.4 L of liquids.
What filter class does it use?
It uses a primary cloth filter and 4 factory-tested HEPA H14 filters, providing extremely high retention of fine and hazardous particles.
What is the difference between this model and the BLSD version?
The BLSD version uses a brushless motor (1.1 kW) with a lower temperature class (T85°C). This page describes the 1.2 kW version with T200°C. Both are II 1/3D ATEX-certified, but BLSD is preferred when lower surface temperatures or extended motor lifetime are required.
Do I need special hoses and tools?
Yes. ATEX Zone 20/22 requires static dissipative or conductive hoses and accessories, properly grounded together with the vacuum and all metal parts. Accessories are never ATEX-tested themselves but must fulfil ESD/ATEX principles and be included in a verified bonding/grounding system.
Can this vacuum be used as part of a central vacuum system?
Its 1.2 kW motor is intended for mobile housekeeping. Central systems or long pipework with multiple users typically require ATEX vacuums above 5 kW.
