The Tiger-Vac C-35L EX DT (MRP) BLSD is an advanced ATEX- and IECEx-certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible and conductive dust in Zone 22 atmospheres, while providing a very high level of protection inside the filtration and airflow system (internal Zone 20). The BLSD version features a robust brushless motor offering extended service life, low spark potential and reduced maintenance requirements. The unit is third-party certified by LCIE (0081) as II 1/3D with internal Ex h IIIC T85°C Da and external Ex h tc IIIC T85°C Dc IP6X, and is tested in accordance with EN 17348 DT for combustible dust collection.
MRP filtration system – manual filter cleaning without stopping operation
The MRP (Manual Reverse Purge) filtration system allows the operator to clean the primary filter manually during operation without opening the tank. A rotating valve generates a reversed airflow pulse that dislodges dust from the filter surface, significantly extending filter life. The system combines a large static-dissipative primary filter with downstream HEPA H14 filters (99.99% efficiency at 0.3 µm), ensuring safe and efficient fine dust filtration in ATEX-classified environments.
Removable stainless-steel recovery tank
The C-35L EX DT (MRP) BLSD includes a 35-litre stainless-steel recovery tank mounted on a separate wheeled carriage. By tilting the main frame, the tank detaches and can be rolled away for easy, ergonomic and dust-minimised emptying—without lifting or direct contact with the collected dust. This design makes the BLSD model ideal for production environments requiring frequent disposal.
ATEX, IECEx and EN 17348 certification
The vacuum is fully certified according to IECEx LCIE 15.0048, LCIE 15 ATEX 3061 and LCIE 19 ATEX 1001 X. It is approved for internal Zone 20 (Da) dust handling and external Zone 22 (Dc) surfaces, assessed under EN IEC 60079-0, EN 60079-31 and EN ISO 80079-36/37. The brushless motor operates with a lower temperature class (T85°C), increasing safety when handling temperature-sensitive combustible dusts.

The BLSD version is ideal for general cleaning in production areas where combustible dust is present: food ingredients, sugar, starch, flour, milk powder, chemical and pharmaceutical powders, plastics and rubber, composite and metal dust, as well as 3D printing and additive manufacturing environments. The removable tank design is especially effective for continuous production processes requiring frequent emptying.
Standard accessories – static dissipative tool kit
The vacuum is supplied with a complete ESD-safe tool kit: conductive suction hose (38 mm × 3 m), chrome curved handle with airflow control, two 32 mm extension wands, ESD floor tool with conductive nylon bristles, round brush, crevice tool and upholstery tool. An antistatic primary filter, downstream HEPA H14 filters and a cable holder are also included.
Optional accessories and customisation
Optional accessories include static conductive hoses up to 15 m, hose cuffs, unions, 38 mm double-bend wand, larger ESD floor tools, 38–32 mm reducers and a high-temperature main filter (SD). The vacuum can be integrated with process machinery, filling lines and semi-centralised extraction systems while maintaining full ATEX and ESD compatibility.
Technical note on internal Zone 20 and bonding
As an II 1/3D certified vacuum cleaner, the unit is approved for the direct recovery of combustible dust inside the internal Zone 20 (Da), while the external structure is suitable for Zone 22 (Dc). To maintain this level of protection, hoses, accessories, couplings and the operator must be correctly bonded and grounded. Only use static-conductive or static-dissipative accessories and follow ATEX, EN 17348 and internal plant procedures.

What is the difference between the MR and BLSD versions?
MR BLSD uses a brushless motor with longer service life, lower spark potential and improved reliability. Both versions share the same ATEX 1/3D certification.
Why does the BLSD version have a lower temperature class of T85°C?
The brushless motor generates less heat, offering an additional safety margin when handling temperature-sensitive combustible dusts.
Is the removable tank suitable for large dust volumes?
