Tiger-Vac C-55L EX DT HD CART (MFS)
ATEX 1/3D industrial vacuum cleaner with 55 L recovery capacity, MFS filter cleaning system and heavy-duty cart for combustible dust in Zone 22 and internal Zone 20
The Tiger-Vac C-55L EX DT HD CART (MFS) is a robust ATEX- and IECEx-certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible and conductive dust in Zone 22, while providing full protection inside the filtration system (internal Zone 20). With a large 55-litre stainless-steel recovery tank and reinforced heavy-duty cart, the unit is engineered for continuous industrial use in environments where high dust loads, durability and strict safety requirements are essential.
MFS – Manual Filter Shaker with antistatic SD main filter
The vacuum is equipped with the MFS (Manual Filter Shaker) system, allowing the operator to manually clean the large antistatic SD primary filter by activating the mechanical shaker handle. This dislodges dust from the filter surface, maintaining stable airflow even during heavy-duty use. The filtration system combines the antistatic PTFE SD main filter with four downstream HEPA H14 filters, each rated at 99.99% efficiency at 0.3 µm, ensuring maximum fine-dust protection.
Heavy-duty steel cart and ergonomic construction
The C-55L EX DT HD CART (MFS) is mounted on a reinforced steel carriage with industrial wheels, parking brakes and a low centre of gravity. The large stainless-steel recovery tank can be detached from the cart for safe, ergonomic and dust-minimised disposal. This makes the unit ideal for facilities with frequent movement, rough surfaces or high daily dust loads.
ATEX, IECEx and EN 17348 certification
The vacuum is third-party certified according to IECEx LCIE 15.0048 and LCIE 15 ATEX 3061, meeting requirements for internal Zone 20 (Da) and external Zone 22 (Dc). The external temperature class is T200°C, assessed in compliance with EN IEC 60079-0 and EN 60079-31. The unit is also tested according to EN 17348 for the safe recovery of combustible dust in daily operation.
Industries and applications
This model is ideal for general cleaning in production areas and for handling large quantities of combustible dust in food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, rubber, packaging, metalworking, milling, silo operations and 3D printing/additive manufacturing. The antistatic SD filter and heavy-duty accessories make it suitable for both combustible and electrostatically sensitive dust.
Standard accessories – heavy-duty antistatic tool kit
The unit is supplied with a complete static-dissipative heavy-duty accessory kit: 38 mm antistatic crushproof hose, heavy-duty chrome wand, aluminium ESD floor tool, ESD crevice nozzle and stainless accessories designed for industrial applications. The SD main filter and all downstream HEPA H14 filters are included.
Optional accessories and system integration
Optional accessories include conductive hoses up to 15 m, 38–32 mm reducers, large ESD floor tools, unions, connectors and specialised process tools. The vacuum can be integrated with process equipment, filling lines or semi-centralised extraction systems with full ATEX and ESD compliance.
Technical note on internal Zone 20 and bonding
As an II 1/3D-certified vacuum, the C-55L EX DT HD CART (MFS) is approved for the direct recovery of combustible dust inside the internal Zone 20 (Da) area within the tank and filter housing. To maintain this level of protection, the entire system—operator, hoses, tools and equipment—must be properly bonded and grounded. Only static-conductive or static-dissipative accessories must be used, in accordance with ATEX 2014/34/EU, EN 17348 and internal plant safety procedures.
Need assistance with ATEX 1/3D vacuum systems?
We support equipment selection, grounding design and documentation according to EN 17348 and ATEX 2014/34/EU.
FAQ
What is the difference between MFS and MRP?
MFS uses a mechanical shaker to clean the filter. MRP uses reverse airflow. The C-55L EX DT is supplied with MFS.
Is the 55 L tank suitable for high dust volumes?
Yes, the large stainless-steel tank and heavy-duty cart make it ideal for continuous industrial applications.
How many HEPA filters are included?
Four downstream HEPA H14 filters (99.99% @ 0.3 µm) plus an antistatic SD main filter.
Can the vacuum handle conductive metal dust?
It is certified for combustible dust. For conductive metal powders, Tiger-Vac INERT models are recommended.
