Tiger-Vac C-55L EX DT HD CART (MFS) BLSD

ATEX 1/3D industrial vacuum cleaner with brushless motor, 55 L recovery capacity, MFS filter cleaning system and heavy-duty cart for combustible dust in Zone 22 and internal Zone 20

The Tiger-Vac C-55L EX DT HD CART (MFS) BLSD is a high-performance ATEX- and IECEx-certified industrial vacuum cleaner engineered for the safe recovery of combustible and conductive dust in Zone 22 areas, with full protection for internal components classified as Zone 20. The BLSD version features a long-life, low-spark brushless motor, providing enhanced operational safety, extended durability and reduced maintenance requirements. With a large 55 L stainless-steel recovery tank and reinforced heavy-duty chassis, it is designed for continuous operation in demanding industrial environments.

MFS – Manual Filter Shaker with antistatic SD primary filter

The MFS (Manual Filter Shaker) system enables effective cleaning of the large antistatic SD primary filter through a manual shaking mechanism. This removes accumulated dust from the filter surface, ensuring consistent airflow and stable performance even under heavy dust loads. The filtration system includes an antistatic PTFE SD filter combined with four downstream HEPA H14 filters (99.99% @ 0.3 µm), providing high-level fine dust filtration for combustible dust applications.

Heavy-duty steel cart with ergonomic disposal

The unit is built on a heavy-duty steel cart with industrial wheels, brakes and a low centre of gravity. The 55 L stainless-steel recovery tank can be quickly disconnected from the frame, allowing ergonomic and low-dust disposal without lifting. This makes the BLSD version highly suitable for production environments with frequent disposal cycles and large dust volumes.

ATEX, IECEx and EN 17348 certification

The C-55L EX DT HD CART (MFS) BLSD is certified according to IECEx LCIE 15.0048 and LCIE 15 ATEX 3061, meeting requirements for internal Zone 20 (Da) and external Zone 22 (Dc). The brushless motor provides a lower external temperature class of T85°C, improving safety when handling temperature-sensitive combustible dusts. The unit is also tested according to EN 17348 for the safe daily recovery of combustible dust.

Industries and applications

This model is ideal for general cleaning in production areas and for safe recovery of combustible dust in food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, rubber, metal powders, milling, silos, packaging environments and 3D printing/additive manufacturing. The combination of BLSD motor, large filter surface and heavy-duty construction makes it suitable for demanding industrial workflows.

Standard accessories – heavy-duty antistatic tool kit

The vacuum is supplied with a complete static-dissipative heavy-duty accessory kit: 38 mm antistatic crushproof hose, heavy-duty chrome wand, aluminium ESD floor tool, ESD crevice nozzle, round brush, and antistatic SD main filter with downstream HEPA H14 filtration. All components are fully ESD safe and designed for industrial use.

Optional accessories and system integration

Optional accessories include conductive hoses up to 15 m, 38–32 mm reducers, additional ESD floor tools, connectors, unions and specialised process accessories. The BLSD model can be integrated with process equipment, packaging lines and semi-centralised extraction systems while maintaining full ATEX compliance.

Technical note – internal Zone 20 and bonding

As an II 1/3D certified vacuum cleaner, the unit is approved for direct recovery of combustible dust inside the internal Zone 20 (Da). The operator, hoses, tools and the entire system must be correctly bonded and grounded. Only static-conductive or static-dissipative accessories may be used, in compliance with ATEX 2014/34/EU, EN 17348 and site-specific SOPs.

FAQ

What is the difference between MFS and MRP?
MFS uses a manual shaking mechanism to clean the filter. MRP uses reverse airflow. This BLSD version uses MFS.

Why is the temperature class lower (T85°C) in the BLSD version?
The brushless motor generates less heat, improving safety when recovering temperature-sensitive combustible dusts.

How many HEPA filters does the system include?
Four downstream HEPA H14 filters (99.99% @ 0.3 µm) plus the antistatic SD primary filter.

Is the 55 L tank suitable for large dust quantities?
Yes. The large tank and heavy-duty cart make it ideal for high-dust industrial applications.
